California Rep. Adam Schiff on Thursday announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
"We’re in the fight of our lives—a fight I’m ready to lead as California’s next U.S. Senator," Schiff tweeted, sharing a video announcing his campaign.
Schiff joins Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., who announced she is running for the seat earlier this month.

Running from Prison ?
Does anyone else think it’s odd, that these Democrats have announced their candidacy for the senate seat held by Dianne Feinstein, when Diane Feinstein is apparently running for reelection herself?
One Party Rule.
California voters are reduced to a rubber-stamp electorate.
No fun being in the House anymore. And been shut out of Intel info (not one of the prestigious ‘gang of 8’ anymore).
So moving on to the other body.
Watch for Feinstein dying or retiring before 2024 so Newsome can appoint Schiff or some other Democrat to give them traction in the primary.
Feinstein was too frail to run the last time... I doubt she’d make it through a primary.
If California elects this idiot as their Senator, the whole State Electorate will need their heads examined.
And he’ll want to be on the Senate Intelligence Committee, to make sure they leak like a sieve, too.
Two thoughts: 1.) If the GOP can’t beat Schiff in a general state-wide election, then they have no idea how to fight and destroy a person. There is something to be said about politics of personal destruction in this case. Or, 2.) California is really that eff’d up.
Turtle will treat him with more respect.
If he loses the primary he’s out of Congress, which would be nice.
He’s a shoe-in.

I think it’s funny this stacked up on the side panel on top of him wanting revenge. This would be revenge of a sort...
You can keep your HR seat while running for Senate. I’m surprised he hasn’t bolted for a cushy job with MSNBC or the like... I doubt he can win a state-wide race here in CA.
