At least three people were killed in what police have called a “random shooting” that took place early Tuesday morning at a convenience store in Yakima, Washington.
The gunman, who police believe to be 21-year-old Jarid Haddock, is still at large.
“It appears to be a random situation. There was no apparent conflict between the parties,” Yakima Police Chief Matt Murray said in a video shared on the department’s Facebook page. “The male just walked in and started shooting.”
Murray said police received calls around 3:30 a.m. of a man shooting people at a Circle K store.
Upon arrival, officers discovered three people shot dead inside.

In a previous encounter with the police the perp identified himself as “homeless”.
Seems these shootings are in states which have strict gun control laws which prohibit people from carrying and protecting themselves.

I live in Washington state, even though mostly blue we do have ‘shall issue’ conceal/carry licensing. This is a heavy red part of the state.
My Grandparents store, near the Yakima Fairgrounds, closed and was demolished a few years ago. They’d sold years ago but it retained the family name.

I was in Yakima a few times on business before I retired. You are right: Mexican gangs are very active there.
Seems like we’re having an uptick in mass shootings lately.

who then did Mr. Haddock shoot? The article is mute on the subject. One ethnicity commits most murders so they are always the logical default. Yakima has been mex gang central for a lot of years since the wet backs were imported en mass to work the apple farms. They are equally a logical source of all trouble.

Yakima, in the 4th congressional district reelected Dan Newhouse, he's a RINO but not a democrat.
