California sits on plenty of oil and natural gas. There is zero need for this to happen. The same is true for New York, but they don’t give a frack about the people.
The Marcellus Shale that made Pennsylvania the nation’s second largest natural gas producer (only Texas produced more in 2020) also underlies upstate New York and several other states.. could supply U.S. consumers’ energy needs for hundreds of years..
They refuse to drill and use it.
