Blue New York lost tens of thousands of residents to Florida in 2022, reaching historic figures, according to data from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

According to the data, 64,577 New Yorkers made history, making the official switch to the Sunshine State in 2022 by changing over their licenses last year. That’s up from the 61,728 who fled the Empire State for Florida the year prior, in 2021.

Don’t worry, New York WILL NOT lose population. These Florida migrants are being replaced by migrants being flown and bused here from our borders. Population will remain the same.

Many of them are moving there to retire. Many of those who moved while still being of working age will move back because they can't make a decent income. I left Illinois for Florida and had to move because of the underemployment problem. I now live in Georgia.

I'm glad to have almost half a century in the real Florida before these refugees moved in. Very few people have an appreciation for the real Florida. They flock to the beaches and think they're Floridians, but the REAL Florida is so very much more.

One of the best aspects of Florida is actually its people - now being diluted.

Make sure those people are removed from the voting roles or they will vote twice.

If they stayed in NY, maybe Lee Zeldin would be Governor today. How many New Yorkers moved to Florida since 2000?

We got just a glimpse of real Florida on our recent visit. Met a life-long Floridian who grew up in the countryside outside Tampa. My nephew’s kids are still meeting folks like that through FFA. Their area is booming, though. In 10 years it could be just another suburb. Now, at least there are still people with some livestock.

I don’t think so!

How bad did the Democrats lose in the Florida 2022 election!

Sure, some New Yorkers brought their LIEberal politics with them, but it would appear that it was mostly Conservatives who fled New York!

Most of them who are showing up in Florida are asking for “asylum”.

Nah. You will have some New Yorkers continue to retire in Florida. They are likely voters for Zeldin. So the Democrats will benefits because the deadbeats and immigrants will stay in New York.

Tampa is where I spent the great majority of my years as a Floridian. Nine months ago I moved to rural NW Tennessee for a little rural sanity, and to complete rennovating a property I owned up here.

I'm hoping to return to FL next Fall, but a good bit North of Tampa, where the "real Florida" is still to be found.
