I blame the armorer MORE than Baldwin...

I actually would not blame Baldwin at all if he was not in charge... but he fired the original gun safety team, and hired the incompetent crew.

They then used the real guns for practice with live ammo. The guns should never have made it back into storage without being cleaned and being UNLOADED.

Then they gave a loaded gun to Baldwin.

So, like I said - I actually blame the armorer more, but Baldwin hired them.

I don’t see how that adds up to a felony...

Baldwin also pointed a real gun at someone outside the call for gun use in the film. I know better than to point a gun at anybody I am not intending to shoot whether I think it is loaded or not.

I’ve heard there was live ammo mixed in with the blanks. If true, who did that? Or was that negligence, too?

We have to remember that back when this happened we had prominent actors to a man saying a) When you are handed a gun YOU c heck it YOURSELF And b) When you are firing the gun in scene you NEVER actually aim at a person. Baldwin tossed out and violated every industry safety rule .

There were reports that they were using these guns to shoot targets. So there are real guns and live ammo on the set. Is that common? I can’t believe it is. And if not, it’s reckless, negligent behavior. If Baldwin has responsibility for the set and he pulled the trigger while pointing the gun at someone (again, negligence), I have to believe he’s going to be in a world of hurt.

First rule when handling a firearm: Assume that it is loaded!

I believe the armorer 100%...There is a gap from when she laid down the gun on the table and it was handed off to Baldwin by the next person...who yelled Cold gun...without checking it.

Alec's first duty is to check the chambers. He should have pulled each shell...see that it rattled and replace it. The same with the party who handed it off.

Either one could have slipped in a real shell.

The armorer...sorry....I believe her. Her father was top of the line. She wouldn't disgrace him for all the fame or money in the world. I don't think she should be charged UNLESS her prints are on the casing that killed the lady.

The film co tried to save money and cut major corners. If you read the emails between the armorer and other people involved in the movie, you would know the armorer was begging for people to attend a safety class and wanted to spend more time on the weapons rather than the props she was asked to take care of and was denied.

And people who are familiar with guns know you NEVER point a gun at anyone and ALWAYS assume a gun is loaded.

How nice for you to give a pass to a pompous, arrogant, remorseless man who shot a young mother, blamed her for her own death and walked away from her while she lay dying in a puddle of blood.

The thing is that there was nothing in the script about pointing a gun when the woman was shot.

I have heard Alec was having a tantrum and waving it around. He is an awful person

The first rule of gun safety is always assume a gun is loaded. You always check the gun before you fire it. On sets they also fire into the ground just to make 100% certain. It is my understanding Baldwin did neither. Ergo negligent homicide. Finally, the scene they were rehearsing or setting up for to my knowledge did not require the gun to be fired. He needed to keep his finger off the trigger in a final safety precaution. He failed this as well.

I cannot imagine pointing a firearm at a human being and pulling the trigger if I did not intend to kill her. He had an affirmative responsibility to check and double check that that firearm was unloaded. He should have pulled the trigger with the weapon pointed in a safe direction before pointing it anywhere near anyone. He is an irresponsible jerk and his irresponsibility got someone killed.

End of story.
