The training required to become proficient in Combined Arms Warfare is immense. One cannot climb aboard an M1, Bradley, or Striker turn the key on, and go fight. Combined arms warfare requires the integration of Combat, Combat Support, and Combat Service Support operations. It would take years to make uninitiated soldiers capable of conducting those operations.
The West is in desperation mode. They are throwing feces against the wall and hoping something sticks. Completely bereft of strategy. The decision to try to send U.K. and German tanks to Ukraine is the most recent indicator that London, Berlin and Washington are hitting the panic button.

While Ukrainian troops continue to occupy Bakhmut and Siversk, the Russians are grinding on and appear to have effected a tactical encirclement of Bakhmut. Taking Bakhmut and clearing settlements to the south of Ukrainian forces is a critical step in forging genuine security for Donetsk. When Bakhmut falls expect an uptick in the wailing and gnashing of teeth in London and Washington. They will be tempted to launch more desperate gambits.

- Bakhmut faces encirclement by Russian forces;
- The Netherlands is considering sending Patriot missile systems after West blames Russia for residential building strike;
- Ukrainian presidential adviser Arestovich has resigned after suggesting the building was hit because of a failed Ukrainian interception of a Russian cruise missile;
- The building strike appears to be serving as a pretext for a planned escalation by the US and its allies;
- Ukraine also lost its interior minister to a helicopter crash;
- The Western media admits current aid to Ukraine is not sufficient, although suggested increases will unlikely turn the tide;
- The US and its allies are preparing for their monthly meeting discussing expanded military aid to Ukraine on January 20, 2023;
I had 4 hours to assemble, equip, and train my soldiers (all Air Defense Artillery) as an Infantry platoon, to include issuing live ammunition before leaving our motor pool.
I took a minimum of two hours in refresher training for my soldiers, whose last infantry experience was back in Basic. Even that was insufficient in my opinion, though we never had an accident, injury, or weapon fired accidentally during the six episodes I was involved with.
I can’t imagine turning over these combat vehicles to Ukraine without significant and thorough training.
Which is why the US has started training Ukrainian troops in combined arms warfare.

The U.S. has provided both equipment and training to help Ukraine defend its sovereignty against an illegal invasion by Russia that began in February. Now the U.S. will provide Ukrainian soldiers with combined arms and joint maneuver training as well.
