Meet the Dem governor quickly rising to top of 2024 short list for president 'The rare and unique ability to exist where the air is thin and the oxygen is limited'

Democratic Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, who was sworn into office Wednesday morning, has soared to the top of Democrats’ list of potential 2024 presidential candidates.

Moore’s military service, success in the finance industry, fundraising successes and connections to career-making donors have captured the attention of the Democratic party, as has his apparent bipartisan appeal, according to Bloomberg. Moore’s campaign emphasized crime and the economy, talking points typically preferred by Republicans, while he has also attracted several high profile Democratic donors.

The new governor was raised in poverty and went on to serve as a U.S. Army captain and paratrooper in Afghanistan, according to Bloomberg. He was also a Rhodes scholar, a prestigious position also granted to former President Bill Clinton.

Moore raised $14 million for his campaign, with big name donors including actors Samuel L. Jackson and Gwyneth Paltrow, Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos’ parents, Miguel and Jacklyn Bezos, hedge fund billionaires Paul Tudor Jones and Steven Cohen and Netflix cofounder Reed Hastings, according to Bloomberg. Oprah Winfrey also cut an ad for Moore.

Uh, thanks for your service. Beyond that....NOPE! The list of donors pretty much says all anyone needs to know.

He does seem to have a gift for being promoted. What good things has he accomplished?

Sounds like he’s capable of thinking coherently, which puts him ahead of Biden. If the Democrats scam their way to another WH win in 2024 while Ronna McDaniels and the RNC stand around scratching their heads, that’s some consolation.

“apparent bipartisan appeal”

Which apparently disappears once he is elected.

Well, in a couple hours he would be Governor for a whole day. He’s a complete economic illiterate who called for Maryland to be 100% renewable energy in 12 years. Moron.

To add to his economic illiteracy he proposed a government paid year of service for high school graduates.

He’s slick and greasy. My daughter met him years ago at some publishing event and walked away unimpressed.

The democrat’s choices can be pretty broad, since they are going to steal it anyway.

The ability to be promoted is all that is required. Accomplishment not required. See: Obama, Barry; Hochul, Kathy, etc

Yeah, but racial politics intrude unless there's another victim group that can take its place. See: Buttigieg, O'Rourke.

Well, in O'Rourke's case the victim group identification is phony, but still.

Another Magic Negro?

Everyone knows the only qualification he has is his skin color. If he were female he’d be a shoe-in.
