Outgoing Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD) said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was too focused on the Republican Party base to win national office.
Hogan said, “The party has been focused on firing up the base, and they have done a terrible job at reaching swing voters in the middle.”
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is often cited by conservative Republicans as somebody they might want to see run for president. You’ve called him an important voice, one of the important voices for the party. Do you think he would be good at what you’re talking about in terms of reaching out to people in the middle?”

Reagan didn’t win Maryland against the colossal boob Jimmy Carter. Says enough about the fools in that state, other than on the Eastern Shore, in the western mountains, and north horse country. The rest is packed with federal employees, academics, and double-domed intellectuals.
Ron seems okay though Id have to hear his actual platform.

Focusing on the base is the only way to win. Trump lost enough of his base chasing “black and hispanic unemployment numbers”, that would have covered the margin of cheating.

The GOP lost the base. Desantis is right to shore it up. I wouldn’t vote for Hogan.
Sending them to Matha’s Vineyard is funny enough but what is his actual plan to stop it? Before Trump even plenty of Dems were against Illegal Aliens (though obviously they did nothing about it)
I once inadvertently insulted this fat turd to his face. I felt pretty bad about it afterwards. Now I wear it as a badge of honor. I despise him.
