“National Stalking Awareness Month”?
I understand the point and the danger, but...it seems odd to me. A “month” for everything, I guess.
Idk the, the word stalking might have meant something once but I’d bet it’s been dumbed down now to mean any un wanted attention.
Go armed.
The best defense is a good offense.
Wow....a woman’s husband is murdered and most of the Thread is “awareness” contra virtue-signaling. SMH.
Sometimes the husband is the stalker
What then ???
My wife had this problem in the late ‘90s. She was a sportscaster on a couple of popular networks and ended up with a stalker. He would send threatening letters to me telling me he was going to kill me. It’s when my wife and I bought our first handguns.
Ultimately the FBI needed to get involved. He spent several years in prison. We never heard from him again after that.
It can be quite frightening to go through that.
I agree with th articel.....”A gun is a great equalizer, putting a female on equal footing against a male attacker. Your job is not to go and apprehend the person who is a threat. Your job is to keep that threat away from you and protect yourself if necessary.
Even police know they cannot be anywhere and everywhere at any time. “
“Nobody is going to protect you as you can. At the end of the day, you are your own first responder”.
