ExxonMobil: Oil Giant Predicted Climate Change in 1970s - Scientists
BBCX ^ | 1/12 | Georgina Rannard

One of the world's largest oil companies accurately forecast how climate change would cause global temperature to rise as long ago as the 1970s, researchers claim.

ExxonMobil's private research predicted how burning fossil fuels would warm the planet but the company publicly denied the link, they suggest.

The academics analysed data in the company's internal documents.

ExxonMobil denied the allegations.

"This issue has come up several times in recent years and, in each case, our answer is the same: those who talk about how "Exxon Knew" are wrong in their conclusions," the company told BBC News.

I was in college in the mid 70s and I remember the news magazine headlines declaring the “Coming Ice Age.” Nobody was talking about the planet heating up at that time. The leftists weren’t in charge so their plan to shut down the global economy wouldn’t have gone anywhere anyway. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case.

They conflate conjecture with prediction. Also one ‘study’ of no doubt tens of thousands of research areas funded by ExMo over the years isn’t exactly an ‘aha!’ moment. There’s probably a study buried in an archival warehouse that says the exact opposite.

This has been in court and thrown out of court more than once already. Just media greenies stirring cold ashes.

Only going back to the 1970s? Why not go back to the 1870s for climate change predictions?

But, here is reality!!

Cold or hot climate change? The good old 70s, when the climate was static.

In the 70’s we were heading into an Ice Age surely to kill us all, and they told us it was from the pollution from our cars...

The leftist were in charge then. However, they were concentrated on the destruction of the.nuclear family and the complete takeover of education at that time.

Not that facts matter to these so called scientists. But ExxonMobil didn’t exist in the 1970’s.

In the 70’s, there was Enco that became Exxon in the 80’s.
Mobil was a separate company.

My dad worked for Standard Oil, Enco, Exxon then Exxon/Mobil.
