(GILMER COUNTY, Ga.) — Not one, but three armed citizens were able to disarm a robbery suspect attempting to hold up a gas station at gunpoint in North Georgia.
When a customer saw 39-year-old Shawn Sutton pull a gun on the clerk at the Ideal Mart in Ellijay, he pulled his own weapon. A second customer then retrieved his gun from his vehicle to assist, and both were able to disarm Sutton. When he tried to escape, a third customer pumping gas came inside with his gun and all three were able to hold him until police arrived

Note to freelance socialists, you want to avoid Ellijay, everybody is MAGA, everybody carries. In addition to pistols, a lot of the women own deer rifles and know how to shoot.

It’s a beautiful area with great people. Hubby and I enjoy hopping in the RV and riding up their for the day (we are southeast of you). We stop and visit the little out-of-the-way shops and enjoy the beautiful views. The number of gun shops and army surplus stores should give people a clue that hunting, target shooting and firearm collecting is big past-time in north Georgia. Most people have a gun on their side or in their vehicle. (Also, you can find great deal on camo clothing and ammo boxes in those little shops).

Gun shops? Don’t think I’ve ever bought a gun from Georgia. Seems like the folks just keep them?
I am so glad I moved up to Ellijay from Smyrna,Ga last year. I just filled up with diesel at the Ideal Mart last week. I see many open and concealed carry. The local cops seem to love it when the goofballs from the city come up to commit major crimes. Otherwise they are so bored.
‘Kinda funny’ I was laughing my ass off reading it. One after another pulling their constitutional right out to stop a crime! LCVE IT!
