Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed a new commander to lead his forces in Ukraine.

Gen. Valery Gerasimov will take over from Sergei Surovikin, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Telegram Wednesday, a change that comes as the Kremlin's forces appeared close to a breakthrough in bitter fighting on the eastern front lines.

The announcement came just three months after Surovikin became the first person to be handed sole charge of the campaign since Russia launched its invasion on Feb. 24.

The ministry said he would now serve as one of Gerasimov's three deputies, along with Army Gen. Oleg Salyukov and Col. Gen. Alexey Kim.

An empty salt mine with no strategic value. Hope the photo op was worth those thousands of Russian lives spent taking it.

who cares who’s in command?
timburrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
.
Zeepers are likely wetting their pants today since most of Soledar has been captured. Some 200-500 ukes are surrounded there and retreat routes are cut off.More important are the advances near Krasna Gora where the main supply road from Bakmud to Siversk has been cut off.. Russian forces are nearing an intersebtion that will cut off supplies from Slavansk to Bakmut. Can’t wait for Zeepers to tell us how unimportant that is-LOL....

“Soledar has fallen, please focus on the pending collapse of Bakhmut.”

Be nice, they need some time to ‘process’ this news.

Why? It's a worthless salt mine town in the middle of no where.

Now that the operational encirclement of Bakhmut is all but complete, I wonder if Ukraine will leave the news?

Perhaps Biden/impeachment is being set up as a squirrel.

The Duran think that the neocons may keep trying to escalate. Perhaps through a Polish adventure.

“The Duran think that the neocons may keep trying to escalate. Perhaps through a Polish adventure.”

I know, just hope they’re wrong, but the Neocons will have to respond in some way after Bakhmut falls...so, yea, using the Poles to start the project is probably their first step.

“Now that the operational encirclement of Bakhmut is all but complete, I wonder if Ukraine will leave the news?”

Nope, that will only happen with the Neocons (and Ukraine Cheerleaders) receive direct instructions from the White House, which will only be when the White House (not Neocons*) determine it’s not worth exchanging cities over that worthless, corrupt, piece of land.

*to the Neocons, a nuclear war which destroys the West is better outcome than a Russia they cannot manhandle.

Some of them say Russia fights against “GloboHomo” and that is all that matters. Apparently, any form of despotism is OK as long as it opposes LGBT@#$%^&. I don’t think the Founding Fathers would agree with such a superficial view.

You kidding us?

The Ukrainianistas are WINNING!!!

Get that through your head once and for all.

Heh.

There is a guy on YouTube that interviews mercs that have, or are, fighting in The Ukraine. Most of them say that without outside troops coming into theater, The Ukraine has not a chance.
In short, The Ukraine CIC are as corrupt in fighting this war as they are in anything else they do.

The Founding fathers warned against foreign entanglements.
