Squalicum High School Assistant Principals Jeremy G. Louzao, 41, left, and Meghan V. Dunham, 50, and Bellingham High School Assistant Principal Maude Chimere Hackney, 41, have been accused of failing to report sexual assaults that a student brought to their attention nearly a year ago. Each was issued a criminal citation Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, for failure to report, a gross misdemeanor. They have been reassigned to jobs within the school district office.

The three Bellingham Public Schools administrators who were criminally cited last month for failing to report a student’s sexual assaults have been reassigned to jobs within the school district office.

Former Bellingham High School assistant principal Maude Chimere Hackney and former Squalicum High School assistant principals Meghan V. Dunham and Jeremy Gilbert Louzao were reassigned to the school district’s Department of Teaching and Learning, effective Jan. 3, according to district announcements made for both high schools on Tuesday and first reported by Cascadia Daily News.

All three will be working out of the school district office “and will be available to help as needed,” the announcements state.

Hackney, Dunham and Louzao were each criminally cited Dec. 7 in Whatcom County District Court with one count of failure to report, a gross misdemeanor. All three of the administrators are mandatory reporters, which requires them by law to report any suspected abuse or neglect of a child to law enforcement or the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families.

None of the three reported the students’ sexual assault allegations to local law enforcement or to the state child welfare agency, The Herald previously reported.

I’m actually surprised they weren’t promoted and given huge raises.

They will be hired by CNN as commentators
If they were arrested the Soros prosecutor would release them

I’m pretty sure the one in the middle is a woman. Is it 3 women? 2 men and a woman? It’s getting so hard to tell these days.

Can you imagine a student selecting those three teachers to confide to?

Female student reports the crime.
Male student is the rapist.
Article doesn’t specify but I’d bet large $’s this was a tranny assault on the girl and the school admin’s covered up for the tranny. Must protect the trannies at all costs in liberal land.

See #3. When the crime is child abuse or child sexual abuse, Washington state has a history of the people in authority making it worse.

Would be appropriate if they were put in jail with the GP and learned firsthand the trauma of sexual assault...

Gee, I am shocked.

This is my surprised face.

I was called a liar on FR because I said this was going on.

Schools are covering up the rape of children by other students and by teachers.

It has been going on for decades.

They certainly aren’t unionized in my kid’s school district here in WA State.

Are you sure?

In most school districts all employees are union.

At a minimum, they should be suspended without pay; same for the Superintendent.

What amazes me is why Superintendents try to cove this stuff up. It never ends well for them. If they suspend the alleged offenders without pay and report them to law enforcement, they are in the clear. They don’t even have to tell the public they were suspended without pay and refer questions to law enforcement. That way, they can’t be sued for defamation. It’s really that simple.

Why were they not fired?

They were only just "criminally cited."

I'd think the district would need a conviction before anyone can be fired.
