We're in the banana republic stage. The Constitution means whatever any judge or politician says it means, without regard for any other judge or politician.

Congress is much more likely to pass a Constitutional Amendment guaranteeing abortion up to the completion of delivery than they are to do anything like you suggest.

If they are focusing on the 14th amendments use of the word "person," then let me bring back an old post discussing the use of the word "posterity" in the Preamble to the Constitution.

The Preamble to the Constitution says that We the People established and ordained the Constitution to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity. If "our Posterity" are the children of We the People, then how is abortion securing anything for them?
