Bobblehead is latest example of Fetterman’s status as pop culture icon

Newly elected U.S. Sen. John Fetterman’s ascendance into the pop culture pantheon might have reached a crescendo with news that orders are now being taken for a Fetterman bobblehead.

On Friday, the 4-year-old National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, located in Milwaukee, is selling a Fetterman bobblehead for $30 that is expected to ship — for an additional $8 — to buyers in May.

Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the Hall of Fame and Museum, said in a statement that the bobblehead was being released to coincide with Fetterman’s Jan. 3 swearing-in and National Bobblehead Day, which is Saturday.

“This bobblehead is sure to be a must-have for his supporters and collectors of political bobbleheads,” Sklar said.

The bobblehead will feature a waving Fetterman in what the Hall of Fame and Museum called his “traditional” navy blue hoodie, although he usually wears black, and jeans, though shorts might be more appropriate with Fetterman’s well-established love for them no matter the weather. Friday’s bobblehead reveal was just the latest example of how Fetterman, along with his wife, Gisele, has continued to draw the country’s attention months after he defeated Republican Mehmet Oz.

In December, it was revealed that the Fettermans will appear in actor Christian Bale’s new movie “The Pale Blue Eye,” which was filmed in western Pennsylvania about a year ago.

Gisele Fetterman was the subject of a Jan. 3 Vogue story, tagged for the “Celebrity Style” section, highlighting the $22 purse she carried to her husband’s swearing-in and the $12 thrift-store dress she wore to his orientation in November, which drew media interest then simply for the fact that he wore a suit that day, too.

Not to be outdone, the New York Times deployed its chief fashion critic to the swearing-in to write about Fetterman’s new suit and the significant symbolism (or is it symbolic significance?) fashion now plays in politics.

“He was never exactly a working man — he was a mayor with a master’s degree from Harvard — but he dressed like one, and it helped humanize him, get him recognized and make a name for himself that resonated beyond the borders of Pennsylvania and into the realm of late-night TV even before he won his election,” wrote Times critic Vanessa Friedman. “Arguably it helped win the election.”

Um, OK.

A Harvard degree and never worked an actual job in his life. He has graduated from living off his rich daddy to living off the not so rich taxpayers thanks to the stupid voters in our Commonwealth.

I know people here in Eastern PA that watch ABC -TV and they think Fetterman is great. In fact, my neighbor down the street told me that Trump is so bad the FBI had to raid his house.

She’s UNINFORMED. I live in the Lehigh Valley, which has over 6 prestigious and expensive liberal colleges. The administrators and faculty members have advanced degrees, but they support Fetterman and Biden. Lafayette College required you to show your Vaccine card last year to go to a basketball game. If you drove around Bethlehem, PA last Fall, you saw Biden and Fetterman signs all over. These people live in a liberal bubble and don’t even know about the border crisis.
