Jesus’ position on abortion was clear: When Mary and Elizabeth were near one another, both pregnant, John the Baptist leapt while still in his mother’s womb when he heard the voice of Mary, who was pregnant with Jesus.
If Jesus was in utero as was His cousin, and they reacted to one another’s presence, He clearly showed us the value of life in the womb and that they should be protected.
To say that Jesus would support abortion (Warnock, democrats) would be saying that Jesus would have been fine with Mary aborting Him and Elizabeth aborting John the Baptist.
There is no alternative Christian position. Human morals should err on the side of life, regardless of religion.
To say that Jesus would support abortion ...I am convinced people who say that do not really believe it. It is a dishonest ploy by people who don't care what Jesus said anyway.
Amen! Unfortunately, we're not arguing against atheism as much as we're arguing against hedonism. Hedonists today are just like hedonists in the 1,600 years in which the Bible books were written. They justify anything, even sacrificing babies, as long as it's in some way associated with sex. It literally is its own religion.
That's why showing them scans of fully developed babies in the womb don't convince them to stop their abortion mania. That's why they leave born, abortion-surviving babies alone to die unattended and still call it "just a clump of cells" that "feel no pain". It's part of their religion. That's why it's cool by them to groom small kids. Their religion demands that they not only justify, but even celebrate any behavior they or anybody else does that can be even loosely associated with someone's sexual desires.
