if Trump loses the primary I can see him running third party. A lot of people would cheer him on if he did that.

We have a Uniparty. I’d like to see a second party.

Polls now show GOP voters increasingly rejecting the disgraced ex-president as the party’s 2024 nominee.
Akin to saying, "some experts say". Pure b.s., advocacy journalism.

Williams continues to be as dumb as a box of rocks. The most consequential 3rd party in history occurred in 1968 when George Wallace paved the way for Richard Nixon to be elected president. The current wet dream of a 3rd party is just that.

Knowing Donald Trump, if he were to lose the GOP primary to whoever (let's pretend DeSantis), which is more likely:
A. Accepting the election results and congratulating the winner
B. Saying it was rigged and running third party
I like the guy, but I'm not naïve. Trump is easily spiteful enough to run third party/independent if he loses.

Oh yeah Jaun. And then Independent Bernie would be on our side too, right ?

I would agree, but if Trump is able to run (not in jail), he’ll win the Republican Primary as pretty much all of the potential opponents have skeletons in their closets (i.e., Deep State issues).
The other thing Trump has going for him is got me back in-line after last month’s elections, which was just who was supporting his possible opponents - basically everyone that I hated. Would have been far better if they kept their mouths shut, at least as far as I’m concerned. For example, I don’t need Bill Kristol telling me that DeSantis is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

My preference is DeSantis but I will gladly vote for Trump, even if an Indy, if the alternative is a RINO.

Trump running 3rd party would guarantee a Democrat victory, cf. Teddy Roosevelt running as Bull Moose Party in 1912.

Most of those people would be Democrats (like Juan Williams). A third-party run by Trump would guarantee a second term for Senile Joe.
To: ChicagoConservative27
Well, the author is Juan Williams. So I’m deeply suspicious right there.
However, if Trump choose to run third-party it would be a repeat of ex-president Teddy Roosevelt’s third-party run in 1912. The Republican vote gets split and a dangerous Democrat gets elected (in 1912 it was Woodrow Wilson).
We really need to have a run-off presidential elections, as is done in France. But that will never happen. The D and R insiders like things just the way they are.

if Trump loses the primary I can see him running third party. A lot of people would cheer him on if he did that. And just like the last two times we had a strong third party candidate, the Democrats will win the election.
We got Clintoon in '92 and '96 thanks to H. Ross Perot.
And don't try to tell me that Perot drew equally from the Left and the Right. Perot's message of America First and his "giant sucking sound" from Mexico taking our jobs resonated with conservatives.

the notoriously thin-skinned Trump
??!!
He gives as good as he gets, but he is certainly NOT "thin-skinned". He has taken cannon fusillades and is still standing.
McCain was thin-skinned.

It would be too late to create and form a third party. Uniparty destroys third parties quickly.
