Correct. That even applies to the flat-earth crowd. They're wrong, and silly, but that must be (and is ... repeatedly) demonstrated not merely asserted.

The climate change cultists and the covidiot cultists aren't practicing science.

Well said.

It turns out “trust science” and “trust the scientist” are two different things.

Scientists are motivated by ego, peer pressure . . . and most importantly. . . funding source.

In turn peer pressure is hevily weighted by funding sources. Peers don’t really care what you say . . . unless it makes funding more difficult and uncertain.
