Has anybody written about the possible motives of CIA or the Deep State for assassinating JFK?
The CIA had involvement, simply no doubt. Their involvement would not necessarily reveal sources and methods. It would reveal how they were doing stuff they would be embarrassed about and how they most likely screwed it up.

Open questions: Earlier that year Oswald attempted to kill General Walker and almost succeeded. Did the CIA put him up to that as well?
Since the attempt was not successful, why would the CIA then Assign him to kill Kennedy?
I think this statement reveals a complete but typical misunderstanding of who is on which team. Pompeo would not be not be running for the MAGA nomination - but as an Approved Insider running for the GOP nomination he would have an excellent chance.
But Pompeo is not pretty enough to be given the top job. The Deep State needs another Camelot to keep the celebrity-obsessed public from asking too many questions about its machinations. Newsom 2024 is almost inevitable - and he will make a much more effective and willing puppet than Biden.
He also averted WWIII during the Cuban Missile Crisis...............
