A black California businessman demanded $600,000 from California taxpayers during the first meeting of the state's reparations task force on Wednesday.
Deliberations began on how to quantify how financial compensation might be calculated and what might be required to prove eligibility.
One of those who spoke at the public hearing was 35-year-old entrepreneur and the first black professional tri-athlete, Max Fennell...He concluded his remarks by saying: 'The tangibles of what I'm asking for is $350,000 per black American in California that's tangible, small business grant $250,000 and land 15-20 acres.' ...

The problem with this reparations stuff is, California joined the union in 1850, as a 'free state'. From the first State Convention of Colored People dated 1855, page 12, Rev Stokes speaking, "amongst our race, that while all are consumers, very few are producers. We see through this state very few colored farmers, or mechanics or artisans...there are over three and one half millions of property owned by the colored population..we own mining claims at $30,000 per share, we have every advantage for unfolding whatever talent we may possess, and yet we are doing nothing...We have no energy... One would think if slavery was an issue in 1855 in California, there would surely be some debate about the subject at this convention in Sacramento, yet there is no mention of it

A gesture offered by Demoncrats who know it will never fly. Give all US blacks 250k and it adds up to 15 trillion $. No way will it happen. This is why we should permanently eliminate the SALT tax deduction. California can finance this bullshit and then deduct the money from federal tax obligations. The only way this stops is by forcing them to pay for their own stupidity unsubsidized.
IF they end up paying reparations, which it looks like they are going to do- then pay the wages that were aroudn back then- what was it? like $6 a month or something?

California never held any slaves. We have always been a ‘free state’.
The only entity that owes all of us money is this kleptocrat govt. and it shouldn’t have a damn thing to do with any skin color.
