I just could not belive my ears! Suppose someone robbed a bank and gave you or me $1 million dollars, was caught and prosecuted. Would you or I be allowed to keep the $1 million dollars? Of course not!

Different rules for the ruling elite!

The politicians go into politics hoping that they will make it to a top job where they can receive bribes and kickbacks all to their hearts content. So many politicians start off poor and they end up multi millionaires when they leave. Also unelected politicians like Anthony Fauci who is retiring as an extremely wealthy man, and all on a government salary.

No, and they should have to pay it back with interest to all those who were defrauded.

The Ruling Elite will pass a law which explicitly allows them to amass fortunes from stolen funds. Why wouldn’t they?

I did not know who McHenry is. But, based on the interview today, that is exactly my first impression of him, too.

Don’t claw-back provisions of fraud statutes apply to members of Congress?

The correct answer should have been, since the law applies equally to all citizens, let me ask you Mr reporter, if you had received that money should you pay it back?

Which tells me they were not Congress people. Congress operates by a different set of rules than us little people. The elites do not like the smell of the perspiring, working Wal Mart shopping folks.

They will not give it back. There is bi partisan support for their keeping these stolen funds. Most went to democrats, but some to republicans.

Perhaps the more important question is this:
Should corrupt politicians be able to keep stolen elections and remain in office?

I sense a class action coming where the lawyers get most of it that went to politicians and other entities.

He did add that if the rule of law says the money has to be returned it should be returned. I am in no way defending him but he did cover himself on the follow up question.
