It's Official: Before Musk, Twitter Was the Worst-Run Tech Company in the World
PJ Media ^ | 12 dec 2022 | Stephen Green

Before the Elon Musk buyout, Twitter looks like the worst-run tech company ever with new revelations about lax security, no oversight, and a corporate culture geared towards hiding the ugly truth from the company’s own board of directors and the FTC.

Former CEOs Jack Dorsey and Parag Agrawal have some ‘splainin to do.

Almost unnoticed among the more salacious #TwitterFiles reveals from Matt Taibbi, Bari Weiss, and Michael Shellenberger, “the stuff uncovered in the Twitter whistleblower report is much crazier,” according to Twitter user Avid Halaby. Halaby did a deep dive into the newly released insider materials, and his Twitter thread shows a company that was a Rube Goldberg device of bad policies and worse execution.

Whistleblower Peiter “Mudge” Zatko is the company’s former Security Lead and a longtime advocate of better internet security practices. Zatko first went public back in August, with CNN reporting his claim that “Twitter trusted far too many employees with access to sensitive user data, creating a fragile security posture that an outsider could exploit to wreak havoc on the platform,” and that “one or more current Twitter employees may be working for a foreign intelligence service,” and that “Agrawal misled the company’s board of directors by discouraging Zatko from providing a full account of Twitter’s security weaknesses.

Halaby reports that in 2020, “Twitter had security incidents serious enough they had to be reported to the federal government on an almost weekly basis.” At the exact same time, Agarwal “was lying about how secure” the platform was.

Twitter WAS Federal Government, before Elon Musk.
Jack Dorsey wouldn’t have lied to congress if he wasn’t absolutely sure his back was covered.
Jim Baker at Twitter is further evidence, as well as multiple FBI/intelligence involvement.

PS: Michelle Obama calling twitter to get the POTUS banned, that was really just a message from Barry. Election interference from a former government official.

The intel community still has full and unfettered access.

We have become a spy state and while our “authorities” do not persecute political enemies to the extent that some banana republics do you can bet they have way more access to “you” than those police states could even dream about.

more than half of the company’s 11,000 full-time employees “had privileged access to Twitter’s production systems.”

What a clown show. This is what happens when woke, leftist, everyone-gets-a-trophy snowflakes run a company.

All of them.

But do not worry, they are "private companies" and so you can not object to anything they do even if they are taking orders from the government.

These "private companies" are holy, pure and good.

Objecting to them is like objecting to the police doing things like this.

No development, test, or staging environments, according to what I’ve read. Developers deployed directly to production. Wild.

They have full access to pretty much any and all internet traffic.

They ingrained themselves with big tech to allow easier and more streamlined access through the software, but its all still there and since they know the code they can get it on the backside if access up front is made difficult.

The problem is the funding from congress. We have agencies that our elected representatives have allowed to bypass the constitution and it is hard to differentiate between them despite some being expressly forbidden from spying on US citizens.

I don’t even think we can fix it at this point and it certainly will not be fixed by congressional oversight.

Snowden revealed quite a bit about it. It’s so bad now that the same DNC contractors involved in the Russian collusion delusion still have contracts with our spy agencies (and access).

You can be awake about all of this, but you have about as much power over it as you do over the southwest border, the recent prisoner swap, or an Iranian protester.

They also expected Musk would go along with it to avoid damaging the company but I guess he’s shown by them!

If you're a twittering twit wondering how they were able to do what they did...look in a mirror.

Twitter is nothing without their clicking twits.

Let this sink in:

The DNC and FBI advising Twitter Censors what to ban, who to ban, and never disclosing that fact for years - they even deleted the sitting President of the United States.

And this is the only one we know about. They did the same on Facebook, and must have similar programs in place with the MSM.

This is Mind Control on a massive scale.

Freedom of Speech is dead in America.

The technology behind Twitter should be extremely easy to create and maintain, compared to something like a manufacturing / distribution company. Or a logistics company.

Having said that, Truth Social seems to be having a lot of problems.

There is a reason why the government uses storage from Amazon, Google and others.
