Comes down to one thing:
Are schools warehouse for derelicts or are they institutions for learning?
If they’re warehouse then get rid of teachers, automate the lesson plans and let the little sh*ts do what they want.
If they’re for learning, expel all the trouble makers and teach the kids that want to be taught.
Let the cops and the street deal with all the kids kicked out.
Well at least they were able to flee, in California the students would just beat them senseless or kill them.

I understand your pint but that does nothing. Those former drill sergeants/instructors do anything to the kids they’re screwed and everyone involved is sued.
All of this goes back to what Sen Moynihan predicted decades ago and it’s only being worse.
A lot of states have gotten rid those facilities due to the cost of running them and not being able to retain employees.
Unless a juvenile commits a felony, they’re going home to their parents or guardians.
Put four armed National Guard, one being an NCO, in every room, gym, teachers lounge, central office, outside areas where students gather. Bus loading areas, parking lots. And any other dang place that needs it. And give the Guard permission to deal with what ever situation erupts in what ever manner they see fit.

That used to be standard policy. Some kids are a danger to teachers and other students these days. That policy has been abandoned because it makes black kids and their parents look bad and feel discriminated against.

That’s how the Parkland shooter escaped any discipline before he did his final evil deed. Don’t discipline anyone and if someone is mentally ill and violent, just let them stay in school without any intervention. Then when a disaster happens, say that school security is not important but we need to ban all guns.
