I do not agree paying student loan debt on the backs of taxpayers.

Grants (i.e. grants) for successfully completing STEM degrees is another matter altogether.

Pell grants for trade school applicants had also proved successful for applicants that need a leg up.

Repaying loans carte blanche is foolish. We’ve all heard how some folks intend to use it for vacay’s or other desires.

My son is 9 hours away from getting a top shelf Engineering degree from USI.

I have payed a grand total of only about $12,000 in 5 years do to Pell grants, scholastic/and athletic scholarships from the University and other assorted small grants and stipends.

The boy has taken a small amount $5K in student loans over that period of time to make ends meet of which I’m repaying $100.00/month.

A template for how things can be done.
