TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - The Cochise County Board of Supervisors voted 2-1 Monday to table the certification of the election results.

They have now missed the deadline to do so and will likely face a lawsuit from the state.

The board will meet again on Friday and has demanded the state prove that vote tabulation machines were certified for accuracy.

The board is the same group that tried to order a full hand count of the ballots, but their efforts were blocked by courts several times.

Also on Monday, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors hosted a special meeting to certify the election. As of 11 a.m., the meeting was still going on with public comment.

The Mohave County Board of Supervisors also met early Monday but ended their meeting after Cochise County decided to delay certifications. That board will meet again at 2 p.m. Monday.

Navajo County voted unanimously to certify after the county attorney warned supervisors they could be sued if they didn’t.

In Yavapai County, residents cited problems in Maricopa County in urging the Board of Supervisors not to approve the election results. The meeting was ongoing Monday.

Pima and Santa Cruz counties have already certified their results.

And I guess you think they need a new election then for the State Attorney General as only 500 votes separate them. Clearly within the margin of Fraud that you already admitted to.

Oh and that race had 50,000 less votes than gov race.
And Sec of State race had 27,000 less votes.

Oh and prop 309 failed to pass requiring stricter voting ID laws and it got 138,000 less votes than gov. That’s very odd and voting ID is very popular greater than 60%. And it failed to pass and it got way less people voting for it.

Something doesn’t pass the smell test.

We already have voter ID in Arizona. It would have made it stricter. I voted for it but it was a bad year for Republicans in the propositions, too. We lost on several. And won a few too.

It is very common for a ballot proposition to have fewer votes total than the Governor’s race. People often skip them. In fact, I’ve just looked at 3 other ballot initiatives and they had from 158,000 fewer votes to 184,000 fewer votes than the governor’s race. The voter ID ballot had more votes cast than most of the other ballot initiatives!

You don’t seem to understand that different races DO get different numbers of votes. Always. And we won some close elections this year. Should we throw them out due to “fraud”? Did we commit fraud in some races while the Democrats committed it in others?

This is all NORMAL. Happens every single election. Happens in every state, too. Not fraud. Variability.

“Prove it was only a couple hundred!”

No one can prove ANY amount. No one knows.

“Oh and also they didn’t give proper guidance to voters who they told to leave the voting place to go elsewhere. 100% fraud.”

My normal voting place was closed. Plumbing issue. No guidance of ANY kind given on where to go. So...my wife and I tried a nearby school. Guessed right.

Not everything that goes wrong is fraud!

I just read in the Arizona election statutes where a contest must be filed within 5 days of certification of results. There are also enumerated reasons for a contest. So the mandatory steps to contest are: you must choose your reason from that list and make damn sure the contest gets filed within five (5) days of the certification. Statutory requirements must be followed to the letter.

So how did you say a couple hundred then when it could be thousands?

Sounds like a fraudulent election to me. And even more importantly how can one certify such crap?

You’re wrong if you think we have to prove fraud. Showing Fraud is probably and possible is enough to prove our elections aren’t secure. And disenfranchising voters should never happen...especially on this scale.

The old claim was there may be fraud but not enough to over turn an election. Well in Arizona they can’t even make that claim...there was fraud and to what scale we really don’t know.

Also you don’t even understand the issue about giving guidance.

Voters were not told after they checked in they had to check out to go vote elsewhere. They were just told to go vote elsewhere.

And the fact that you had to guess where to go is FRAUD! They should have someone there to tell you what to do.

I think you are on the right track for many elections. Look no further than the 2020 Congressional election which Claudia Tenney won:

https://www.syracuse.com/politics/2020/12/9-ways-election-officials-failed-in-brindisi-tenney-house-race-judge-says.html

After doing quite a bit of reading, it’s pretty clear (to me) that the problems in that election were caused by incompetence. As in people did not know how to do their darn jobs. Several election commissioners / workers lost their jobs as they simply did not follow established procedures.

Oh, I agree Cochise not lib. I should have said it was lib counties that certified. Cochise is the last of the old west. My family history there goes back to 1882, before the line was drawn. Tough, heroic people.

Sorry I misunderstood. Compared to your family, we are newcomers. Only 30 years. Came as guests of Uncle Sam and never left. Lol.

If they don’t certify their election results by December 5, their votes will not be included in the statewide totals. That would result in the flipping of at least one House seat (R to D) and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction race.

It doesn’t work like that. There has to be unanimous certification.

Actually, Republicans won some tight races. Including in Arizona.

Until we stop screaming “Fraud!”, we can’t focus on what we need to do to win. With a Democrat Governor and SoS, election reform ain’t getting passed between now and 2026. So you can GIVE UP....or, you can try to figure out how to WIN in 2024.

One lesson: We need BOTH wings of the Arizona GOP to work together for any Republican to win.

Second: Holding a primary in AUGUST when voting starts in OCTOBER is STUPID! We need to hold our primaries in May or June so there is time for hurt feelings to smooth over and for a party to unite after a bitter primary.

Third: We need to USE the system instead of being afraid of it. If Republicans had voted by mail, this wouldn’t be happening! Everyone said “Fraud! Fraud! Vote on Election Day!” Well, how did THAT work out for us?

And since it only went against republicans in REPUBLICAN MARICOPA, maybe we ought to seriously consider the possibility that we lost because Trump isn’t overwhelmingly popular in Arizona and candidate tied at the hip to him won’t win. Not even Kari Lake, who is truly gifted in speaking.

LOL! No sissy east coast ways here.

Husband is good Kansas farm stock and I was raised in Texas. Family on Mom’s side were Texans before there was Texas. Being here 30 years we know the dances and poker games and being rural we always have some sort of firearm with us. I am actually a better shot than my husband. And he panned for gold until he got too busted up to hike to his spot. LOL!
