President Biden's administration is scrambling to track the nearly $20 billion in military aid it has sent to Ukraine as Republicans warn of impending audits when they take control of the House in January.
Likely future House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has said his party will not be giving Ukraine a "blank check" to fend off Russia's invasion. A potential audit would determine how much, if any, of the U.S. aid is ending up in the wrong hands. The Biden administration's previous tracking efforts have inspected only a fraction of the aid provided to the country.
While some staunch Ukraine allies fear Republicans will cut off aid to the country, there remains widespread support for ramping up oversight efforts in Congress.

Just wait til some of these air-to-air missiles start bringing down airliners.
I just read a recent article the U.S. Department of Defense failed a recent audit attempt and cannot account for $2 TRILLION dollars it was allocated.
That is two thousand billion dollars.
The Pentagon should get zero additional funding unless or until they can account for the money they spend.
I don’t care if soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines don’t get paid until reforms are completed. They are all obviously working for a crime syndicate.
A MILITARY THIS CORRUPT DESERVES NO SUPPORT FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHOSE MONEY THEY BLOW IRRESPONSIBLY.
What a novel idea - track aid money!!!!
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
The Republican audit sidesteps the constitutional reality that foreign aid is not one of Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
Regarding foreign aid, Justice Joseph Story had explained that it is constitutionally indefensible.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
Sadly, follow the money, crook federal lawmakers know that war is not only profitable for some people, but probably also a good front-end for unconstitutional, unaccountable federal spending.
Unconstitutional foreign aid is another example where all that one House "Republican" needs to do to effectively exercise majority power is to be a whistlebrower for the fed's constitutinally nonexistant power to provide foreign aid.
Perhaps the individual states, not the feds, need to actually own the gold and silver that mints run by the federal government produce.
"Street fighter" Trump 47 needs to not only finish draining the swamp, but also surrender state powers that the feds have been stealing from the states back to the states.
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Happens a lot.
I was peripheral to the “loss” of $70B in CPA reconstruction projects in Iraq.
There was a power failure one night in Al Faw palace which housed the IT for a good part of Iraq. Next shift a guy comes in asking around for help with a Buffalo TerraStore which lost power and reconfigured from 2x250GB mirrored array to 4x250GB spanned array -the device’s default. It’d been plugged in and buttons pushed a lot and it wouldn’t reconfigure to the mirror array. I told him (along with everyone else) that it have to be sent off to a cleared recovery lab. I asked him what was on it. He said the documentation for $70 billion of CPA reconstruction project spending.
Sometimes I still see Iraqi grifters claiming they were defrauded of “70 billion” in reconstruction funding.
It's been done before.
Rumsfeld having trouble finding $2.3 Trillion the day before 9/11
Sounds like the Biden administration had no oversight or control over the billions given to Ukraine
To be fair, we had the same problem under Bush, Obama, and even Trump in the sandbox.
The “bureaucracy” spent the money - not congress. The same bureaucracy that is in bed with all of the NGO’s and globalist.
“Congress” and the “President” live in an illusion. They “think” they are in charge, but they are not.
Bkmk
The Uniparty gobbled it up and tucked it away where nobody will ever find it.
Exactly how much of this $20 bi9llion was spent on FTX cryptobucks which Bankman-Fried kicked back to Democrats and RINOs?
“scramble to track 20B”????? Cuz they don’t know where the money went??? BS!!
Grassley is sitting with his fountain pen and blotter as we speak.
SNORT.
All they have to do is follow the money all the way to Hunter Biden. He’s Joe’s bag man. Why would they pay millions and millions of dollars to a drug addict to be on their board of directors and smoke pot?
I want a complete audit.
The need to speak with a clear message.
Why?
Your want is trivial and irrelevant during the war against Russia
IF The Big Guy gets 10%, that is lots of money !!!
