Alaska's Tshibaka: McConnell's millions 'would have been better spent in other states'
Fox News ^

Posted on 11/24/2022 10:57:02 AM PST by GulliverSwift

Kelly Tshibaka, an Alaska Republican backed by former President Trump, is blaming Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for her failure to oust centrist GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski this election cycle.

Tshibaka, a former Alaska state official, conceded the contest on Wednesday after the latest rounds of vote tabulations showed Murkowski winning. The race took weeks to call given Alaska's ranked-choice voting system, a process in which voters select their preferred candidates in order and the vote share is distributed to the top two after a process of elimination.

While Tsibaka blamed ranked-choice voting for her loss, calling the system frustrating and a "incumbent protection program," she also said McConnell had some responsibility.

"It is regrettable that Sen. Mitch McConnell spent millions of dollars in this race on deceptive ads to secure what he wanted – a Senate minority that he can control, as opposed to a majority that he could not," she said. "Donors’ money would have been better spent in other states to elect more Republicans that would have secured a majority in the Senate."

Tshibaka said her loss to Murkowski was just "another victory for the Washington, D.C., insiders who rarely have our best interests at heart."

She right on target with that criticism. I would love the House to investigate Alaska’s ranked choice voted system, and refuse to recognize the Dem House member “elected” through the process. It might cause the Senate to reconsider Murkowski election as well, even if not until after the Republicans retake the Senate in 2025. They need to save the evidence.

The democrats and GOPe continue to push for changes in election laws and rules that benefit themselves.

Do votes really matter when our system of one person - one vote with a winner known on election day no longer happens?

People better wake up. There is only one way to fix this and that is via state legislatures. We need multiple election cycles where every republicrat who does not pledge to reverse this immediately is knocked out in the primary.

Without secure and straightforward elections there is little hope to fix anything.

She’s right on both counts. Ranked/Rigged voting is a scourge and just the latest rino weapon. Like ballot harvesting we must learn how to use it against them. In Ca it looks like we did just that to save some rep seats. Take your enemies weapons and use them.

Their game is rather simple. Put yourself into a position where you need money to fight the opposition, when you really won’t, or create the impression you need it to hold them off.

That way its irrelevant who is in control. McConnell has perfected this scam

We are losing and once these changes are implemented the “establishment” wins in perpetuity, preference of the voters be damned.

She was right on. McConnell’s net worth is listed as $35 million a couple of years ago. Wonder how a career politician gets that much $$?

To concede to the Uniparty makes you the Uniparty.

Nevada Dems are pushing ranked choice.

Alaska has total population of around 750,000-
—it took them 16 days to get their ‘count’.

Nevada has almost 4 million-—Could take 3 months !!!!!!

Never thought I’d see a Senate Republican leader worse the the old q****leader Trent Lott, but he’s with us now. Just re-elected, too.

I’m afraid that ship sailed after the GOPe let the steal stand in 20. The cheating is increasingly baked in and more states weld the door shut with every election. We must use their weapons against them now.

Tim Scott, a McConnell stooge, backed Murkowski.

Yet another RINO is outed.
