MSNBC’s Reid: GOP Trying to Keep Thanksgiving ‘Simplistic Fairytale’ to Erase Genocide
Breitbart ^ | 11/23/2022 | Pam Key

Posted on 11/23/2022 6:35:26 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

MSNBC’s Joy Reid said Wednesday on her show “The ReidOut” that she believed Republicans want to portray Thanksgiving as a “simplistic fairytale” to cover up for America being founded on “violence” and “genocide.”

Reid said, “We begin tonight with Thanksgiving, the day we gather with friends and family to enjoy turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. We throw on the game and catch up on our lives and discuss or quite possibly argue about religion and politics. For millions of Americans, it’s a day of cherished tradition. As Americans, we value those traditions.”

Lardass Reid. The freeloading racist. Remember Whitey owes her for all the cotton the biatch picked out of aspirin bottles.

Oh and I’m wishing everyone a fairytale Thanksgiving.

Look for the good, magnify it. Be safe.

Reid and her gang are absolutely insufferable. Dumping my cable thirty years ago was one of the best things I ever did. I’ve saved thousands of dollars and my blood pressure is normal.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Her view of the history is very skewed.

But, I would also say, if one side or the other were to “make up” their own personal opinion about the history, which “fairy tale” would be better:

1) Thanksgiving is about violence, genocide and slavery. White people are always mean to everyone, we have a lot of issues with those white devils, and we will have our revenge eventually.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I don’t see how that little fairy tale will have a happy ending for anyone.

Or ...

2) Thanksgiving is about coming together, not just with family but with other people from other cultures and sharing with them and living side-by-side in happy coexistence. It may have ups and downs, but we dream of a day when we can all sit at the same table and enjoy one another.

Call me crazy, but that little “fairy tale” doesn’t seem like the worst story to tell.

I hate these commie America-hating treasonous bastards.

All I’ve heard all my life from leftists and everything they control, is basically HATRED for their own country. MY country. MY family.

That is why I hate THEM.

Don’t tell me about hatred, you contemptuous bastards!

To my knowledge, the written/historical record shows that the Pilgrims got along quite well with the Indians(or natives if that’s preferred)

It was the empire-oriented English who were were terrible to the Indians during the times when Thanksgiving was born.

(This is circa 1600-1630 or so)

I think? Squanto is one (of others) who was captured, and learned English during his capture.

That wasn’t the separatist Pilgrims who did that.

Every year, on cue, we hear the anti-Thanksgiving morons come out with their racial hatred and re-written history. They have their 5 minutes of notoriety and then crawl back under the rocks until next Thanksgiving. Meantime, the 99.9% of the population goes about their Thanksgiving dinner, thanking God for the blessings He has given us.

Both of Reid’s parents are from Africa. In fact, Reid, is literally an anchor baby. She has no connectivity to blacks here in America.
