A selected VP has to be confirmed by a simple majority of both Houses of Congress.
The calculation by Team Harris is not likely to change with the new Congress, since no seriously partisan candidate stands a chance in a Senate that’s either 50-50 OR 51-49, and a House with a non-functional majority.
You forgot Collins, Romney et al. They’ll side with the Democrats on whoever would be chosen.
