“Well, I have thought for some time – and there’s polling on this that reflects this – that while he maintains real influence within the Republican Party, no two ways about that, but it has begun to fade. It started fading, really, I think, after his antics post-election in 2020, that a great many people with him perhaps up until then began to move away from him.”

Hume is clearly no conservative, being more of a country club Republican, but he does have very keen political insight. I myself am a good example of what he’s talking about, and a lot of my moving away from Trump is because I’m actually to the right of him on several issues, before anyone starts attacking me as not conservative enough to merit having an opinion on Trump.

But as Hume says It was after the election failure, and Trump not following up in helping to secure elections (despite collecting tens if not hundreds of millions under the promise to do so), that I finally started breaking out of my Trump fever. The vaccination obsession by Trump was another major part if it that also happened about that same time.

That doesn’t mean that Trump can’t win me back. But for me to vote for any 80 year old, who’s admittedly been vaxxed and boosted about a half dozen times now, he’s going to have to provide some concrete plans on how he will secure elections, rather than to just keep telling us to out vote the cheating.

The Murdoch Empire is working overtime to try to take down Trump. They will of course, fail.

Other than Tucker Carlson, I haven’t watched Fox since they showed their hand during the 2020 election. I’m not going back.

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said Monday on FNC’s “Special Report” that former President Donald Trump was losing his influence on the Republican Party.

This is gaslighting by a "journalist" with questionable integrity. Another effort by Trump haters to beat him down a notch or two.

Brit is joined by Republicans who are really Democrats anxious to prevent the light of truth on their dishonesty.

There is a cabal of corrupt and dishonest people who continue to try to destroy Trump. Our country is now being run by communists, in my opinion.

Is there a way out?

Lol what was his endorsement record? Lets remember what Trump actually stands for , security and prosperity. I think most republicans still support those tenets.

Same here, just Hannity and Tucker. Have not watched FNC seriously since 2016 when Fox called Arizona with only about 20% in.

Under the circumstances, I don’t think any Repulican will be able to win in 2024.

The circular firing squad will happen, but that will be the way to justify the next guaranteed GOP loss.

We are beyond the ballot box now. Races that determine the future are rigged.

Both parties are corrupt just like the major parties in the UK. You get pretty much the same garbage no matter who wins.

Hume is rather astute actually. We may not like to hear what he has to say, but there is merit to it. Trump does indeed inspire people and has a rabid following. His rallies are supercharged with energy. Can he win in the primaries? Absolutely. Can he win a general election? Well... it depends.

Will the country be worse off in two years than now? Most likely yes. In some ways, he has to hope for that. He needs to propose solutions and build a bigger coalition rather than just his followers who will vote for him while crawling over broken glass in a puddle of alcohol. The populism works. He needs to stick with that and look forward rather than continuously complain about 2020.

His challenges? He has to take the focus away from Jan 6. That will be played in the media over and over. He has to get out from under the FBI/DOJ/NY/GA clouds. He needs to build a strong voter turnout machine. All the money he brings in needs to be spent on building that. He can talk about building the wall, but building the machine is what is most needed. VBM is here to stay in states he absolutely needs. He has to embrace it and use it. EV is also here to stay. He needs to embrace that as well. A candidate cannot demand laws be changed or followed in this climate. He needs to move on from 2020 as said above. What happened, happened and while certainly suspicious, nothing can be proven or even heard in federal courts.

If he feels he can do all of that, then by all means, run and win. If not... well...

I am an engineer and mathmetician and look at the empirical RAW data first. So based on numbers I have the utmost confidence.

The goal for Trump is to beat 80 million. Why? Last time, in '20, they manufactured 81 million votes which is blatantly an obvious fraudlent number, I call it Peake Fraud™. I don't think they can top that number post COVID.

So Trump's goal is to top 80 million. I think it is very do-able for Trump to top 80 million. In fact, as both the economy and Joe's cognition gets worse, Trump will be on track to get way above 80 million. He only has to improve 10% to get that number.

The problem is you can win the popular vote yet lose in the electoral. He needs to flip back PA, WI, MI. AZ, GA... GA maybe but the rest of the states are rat infested. He will also get wiped out in CA if Newsom is on the ticket. He also needs a VP with charisma (Lake maybe?). I am not saying it’s impossible... but likely it is not, barring a major shift and overreach by the rats. Some stars are lining up for him though as the midterms likely empowered the rats to overreach.
