A good way to get at your opponent is to mock them. Everybody knows how personally corrupt McConnell is, so he’s probably getting right in front of him and framing the target.
Trump mocking the name of McConnell's wife does nothing but strengthen McConnell, and lessen Trump. McConnell likely has gotten calls and emails of support from other Republicans wanting to distance themselves from those comments.
I think Trump knows things that we don’t know about these people. He’s usually spot on. I don’t really like these outbursts, but I’m giving him time to see what comes out.
