I suspect a bit of reverse psychology is at play so that we let our guard down. Full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes.
I agree that the Left may be hoping that some over-confident Republicans may decide to sit this one out.
But I think this year may be different. A lot of voters are angry. A lot of voters are tired of the Left. Those voters want to "make them pay". And -- I believe -- in some states where "the Left always wins" (MA, NY, etc.) some voters may smell blood in the water and think that, maybe this year, they have a chance. So they'll show up in the hope that the GOP may actually win this year.
I am often gloomy, but I think we may have a chance this year at a big win.
And I am extremely curious about what happens in "everybody" votes Republican and yet (through some miracle!) Democrats like Fetterman win in all the key races. What will people say about that? Will we do what Brazil did?
But I'm hoping we just win and move along.
You are correct.
