Charge DePape with everything under the sun. Then offer him a deal. Go with the “official narrative” of what happened. Stick to the script. Then all charges will be dropped. And here’s $50,000 for your trouble.
People who knew him - including his former common-law wife - described him as mentally ill, but I have seen absolutely no discussion of that in connection to how the legal system will deal with him. Is he undergoing a mental evaluation? If not, why not? Would a diagnosis of mental illness undermine the narrative they are spinning?
Is this only if the buyer is a Democrat who doesn't want the story out?
The US Capitol Police now have an office in SF. They are working on the case, and I suppose they are answerable to Pelosi (and maybe McConnell).
