Ukraine built an LNG port at Yuzhnyi Port that cost $1.3 billion and is probably worth a lot more.
According to the Washington Post... "Ukraine harbors some of the world's largest reserves of titanium and iron ore, fields of untapped lithium and massive deposits of coal. Collectively, they are worth tens of trillions of dollars."
This is why Putin wants Ukraine. It has nothing to do with helping anyone but themselves to Ukraine's riches.

President Joe Biden is considering the move, particularly if Democrats lose their majorities in the House and Senate, the report notes, citing “officials familiar with the discussions.” The number is expected to be around $50 billion.
