During an interview with NBC News released on Friday, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) defended his goal of halving the state’s prison population and argued that “eventually, we should be looking to lower it as much as possible” by “making sure that we have options for people in the beginning.”
NBC News Correspondent Shaquille Brewster asked, “We were with your opponent yesterday, and one thing that we heard is, back in 2018, you said that the idea of cutting the prison population in half was absolutely a worthy goal. My question for you is, is that still your goal now? He says anything more would be dangerous. Is that still your goal today?”

Gee, hard to believe the Dems platform of freeing criminals to roam the streets, and allowing men in dresses into girls locker rooms isn’t winning voters over.

A frequent application of the death penalty would.do just that.
The solution is to start executing any of them that had more than a 10 year sentence or were violent. Start with the lifers. In for life, then get a rope and save a lot of taxpayer money.

Prisons should all be work prisons so the prisoners have a way to earn money while paying for their incarceration even if that’s decades. Only those on death row or disabled should be exempt.
Employers can train and pay prisons for products to be manufactured with the prisoner building an account to be used when they get out with an allotment for personal use while doing their time.
They can learn skills and gain a sense of purpose while understanding the concept of getting paid to do honest work. They can get promotions and better pay as they go along if they are capable.
That’s what true rehabilitation looks like. The prisoner can forego all this and stay in solitary confinement while the others go to work.
Yes, if Milwaukee and Dane counties don't cheat. Most of the elections in Wisconsin were stolen at least going on for 10+ years. I'm not holding my breath that this will be a fair election, so probably not.
Some country in Central or South America is building a prison that will hold 50,000 prisoners.
I think we should build one like that for all the members of The Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate.
Remember the new Constitutional doctrine Biden keeps repeating, that no Amendment is absolute. So for the common good, we just re-sentence violent, repeat felons to receive the death penalty. All of a sudden, the prison population drops!

The list goes on and on....worthy of death penalty.

I thought Maggie Sanger’s program was supposed to have done that.
I used to think the same thing and still do for a lot of criminals. I now believe some have a shot at redemption. Giving them the tools while they pay their debt then get out as someone who can see another way forward would help reduce recidivism. A working profitable prison makes sense for those who can be saved. It doesn’t make me a liberal to believe this. It’s the Christian in me that wants to believe it’s possible for those who made a mistake vs those who live with hate and malice in their hearts and always will.
I know a lot of criminals are beyond helping just like a lot of democrats will never ever see the light of truth as they wallow in their sick and twisted ideology. I also think a lot of democrats lack critical thinking ability for the same reason. I wish there was a test for the criminals and the dems to see who is salvageable and who isn’t. If they aren’t then lock up the criminals for life and ban the damaged dems and RINOs from holding office or even voting since they are too mentally impaired.
