(Headline USA) Rep. Liz Cheney, RINO-Wyo., who is set to leave Congress at the end of the year after losing reelection, endorsed her first Democrat this week.
Cheney is slated to stump for Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., at an event next week called an “Evening for Patriotism and Bipartisanship.”
“I’m proud to endorse Elissa Slotkin,” Cheney said in a statement. “Serving together on the Armed Services Committee, I have come to know Elissa as a good and honorable public servant who works hard for the people she represents, wants what’s best for the country, and is in this for the right reasons.
“While Elissa and I have our policy disagreements, at a time when our nation is facing threats at home and abroad, we need serious, responsible, substantive members like Elissa in Congress. I encourage all voters in the 7th District — Republicans, Democrats, and independents — to support her in this election,” she continued.
Slotkin is facing a tough battle against Republican state Sen. Tom Barrett to represent the newly-redrawn 7th Congressional District in Michigan.
The Democrat thanked Cheney for the vote of confidence, touting the display of bipartisanship in witch hunts like the J6 Inquisition as an asset to her campaign.
“At a moment when the very heart of our democracy is being challenged, Rep. Cheney’s voice has been critical. I’m grateful for her support in this race and I’m proud of the work we’ve done together to strengthen our national security and America’s role in the world,” she said in a statement.
Slotkin claimed Cheney has “shown tremendous leadership over the last two years.”
“And while we certainly don’t agree on every issue, I look forward to welcoming her to Michigan’s 7th District next week to discuss the points where all Americans can leave politics aside and put our country above all else,” she added.
By “the very heart of THEIR democracy,” they mean “our ability to get only OUR types elected.”
Such a despicable person.
The only ones threatening Democracy are RINO’s like you and the Democrats.

I doubt that Cheney's endorsement is going to help with independents, certainly won't help with Republicans, and Democrats are already locked in.
This is Cheney positioning herself to pull a reverse "Tulsi" and leave the Republicans to become an independent that aligns with the Democrats.

I don’t think Liz knows what the word “democracy” means. If she did she would understand why our founding fathers created a republic form of government.
