Thank you for correcting the title of the book.

The book even concludes that there remains questions but it seemed quite thorough on the facts. As one gets to the end, George Hickey was the one person who could have discredited their theory.

With regards to Hickey’s lawsuits and an undisclosed settlement, that does not necessarily mean he did not fire the shot as the author theorized. What he had going for him was without JFK’s brain for frag analysis, there was no independent way to prove an AR-15 type bullet physically shattered JFK’s skull. What he had going against him was he would be compelled to testify in order to have a chance of winning his case. There is a picture of him holding an AR-15 at the relevant time. He would be compelled to discuss SS procedures of what happens to officers’ guns (count bullets?) after a shooting incident, even if their guns weren’t fired. Somehow the Warren Commission missed that. He would be pinned to his written statement. What he did not say at that time will become dangerous territory. There is no record that all the bullets in that gun were accounted for afterwards by someone not him. The discovery phase would have been brutal for him. And his very cantankerous and uncooperative buddies in the SS would be called too to testify under oath and be locked in on their statements as well. This would not be a typical defamation case .... SS would be on trial too. And I can guess they would claim everything was a confidential method and witness. Hell, when asked about whether the photo was an AR-15, the SS refused to answer (!). I would not be surprised if the SS encouraged him to try to settle even if Hickey was not the trigger man. Finally, if Hickey withdrew/settled after discovery, the book’s allegation would rightfully or wrongly get more credibility.

For me, the book makes the most plausible argument to date on the fatal head shot and the 2 gun theory. But it cannot be pulled “over the line” without some additional evidence. The key piece is JFK’s brain and “ho-hum” it went missing and there was no full scale investigation and publication of how that happened etc. With what Garland is currently doing to Trump at Mar Lago and presidential documents, one has to ask why was there not such zeal in the FIB or anywhere else in the givernment when JFK’s brain was “discovered” to be “missing”? I have resigned myself that we will never know the truth about JFK and what happened in Dallas.

“I have resigned myself that we will never know the truth about JFK and what happened in Dallas.”

Yes, I agree; at least not in my lifetime.
