Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney reacted to the closure of two Wawa convenience stores struggling with crime by denying that the move is a “bad omen.”

Wawa, which has locations in multiple states along the East Coast, announced on Thursday that the company would close two locations in Center City, the main business district in Philadelphia and home to City Hall. Both stores had been contracting private security services due to an increase in thefts.

Lookin’ at the world through rose-colored glasses. Sounds like “a cry for help” to me.

No one will take your bet. Philly has more black residents than white.
Game over.

Philly votes for mayors in the off years.

But Pennsylvania can elect a new governor who wants crime to end in Philly and elsewhere...

Kenney is creating hoagie deserts. That’s an atrocity in Philadelphia.

The dems have told their “downtrodden” “oppressed” “victims of White Capitalism” to steal whatever they want. The message has been received, and their people are helping themselves to whatever they want.

What next: government-run “free” food stores in inner cities handing out free stuff to the “downtrodden” “oppressed” “victims of White Capitalism”?

They’ll just trash that place too and leave piles of steaming mess as their thank you card.

Please. Let’s all look on the bright side. Philadelphia could convert the empty Wawa stores into hotels for illegals.

Eh, just have Dim big city mayors create police free zones and get Biden to spend taxpayer money to truck in tons and tons of supplies of all kinds. Arm the inhabitants of those zones and let them fight each other to get their freebies. No police. No courts. No judges. No laws. Every man/woman/thing fighting for themselves. Will save the rest of society lots of money on police and prisons. The ferales want to be able to take what they want without consequences. Let them enjoy.

“Both stores had been contracting private security services due to an increase in thefts.”

Well, that didn’t work out so well, did it? Some Remy 870 Pumps, or a Remy 1100 Semi-Auto (8 shot) Police Tactical would have worked better.

Would could a private security guard do?

Essentially nothing. He could call the police. But any store employee could do that. The guard could also try to stop the theft. But either he loses to a mob, or he wins and the store gets sued for the guard having used “excessive force”.

Better to just pack up and leave.

The big losers here are the many good people who use those stores. But nobody cares about them. And in a way, it’s their own fault. Vote D, and you’ll get D results.

A benefit of being ‘experienced’ and conservative are these special glasses that let me see things very clearly. Things like root causes, conclusions, appropriate actions, and even future outcomes.

A prescription for these special glasses is the key thing to improve quality of life, livelihood and economic success. Otherwise, it’s just another large US city in hospice.
