The recent Arizona Senate debate between Republican Blake Masters, Democrat Mark Kelly, and that Libertarian who was eerily focused on the age of consent laws being way too high, taught us two important things besides that you should never let a Libertarian babysit your tween. First, Mark Kelly is going to get crushed, and second, he’s short, and after Blake beats him in November, he should find something else to do with his life, like toiling for mithril in the mines of Moria or maybe bearing a ring to Mordor.

If no one pays for it, there is no justice.
All they have to do is uphold the law. Their jobs.
What the ComDem are doing is creating revolutionaries.
I got angry awhile back. Being sad burns into my optic nerve.
But is she?
Libertarians used to at least make a little sense. Now they are just weird.
Cat always looks like she’d rather be someplace else.
“If no one pays for it, there is no justice.”
Totally agree. But there hasn’t been much of that during my ancient life. I was born during the Warren Court, where they got a lot of these screwball ideas.
Perhaps it will work again but I’m not sure the tactics in a national election for one candidate in specific swing states will translate to similar success in individual state races. Of course, they might have refined their methods since 2020 but I am less worried about fraud this midterm, compared to 2024 at any rate.
So to all the doomers on the thread, tell me what we should do.Their only solution (to everything) is arrest Hunter. Never mind Joe, the real problem. Get Hunter.
Well isn't that what they keep saying On Fox?
We just have to play the game. We are smart enough and united enough to deal with what happens in our own lives. The rulers have rarely served us well. And the GOP is a rancid party of choads, cowards, crooks, and betrayers.
But rah, rah, rah. Let’s vote for them and hope this bunch running is better than most of what we’ve had since Reagan left.
“Their only solution (to everything) is arrest Hunter.”
Terrific observation, because Fox was in overdrive acting like these goober investigations and minimal charges are proof of the system working.
Don’t let that make you complacent
Fraud in a midterm is more worrisome because fewer voters vote, thus any additional fraudulent and harvested ballots will have a larger impact.
Lesson Learned: Be prepared for anything -- ANYTHING -- over the next three weeks. Democrat/Communists will stop at nothing when their power is on the line as it is right now ... and they damn-well know it!!
“Don’t let that make you complacent”
Do I sound complacent? I’m just not jumping off a ledge.
If we won every damned seat the Democrats would still find a way to be the boss. A couple of Hawaiian judges or the Southern District of New York. But we have to start somewhere.
that was from the 2020 election
It seems like any politician who runs as a Libertarian is a loser and a weirdo and latches onto bizarre agendas.
But the same cannot be said of people who describe themselves as (small L) libertarians. Some of them are the truest conservatives there are.
From all the polls I have seen so far in contested states, Republicans are all about 2% to 5% behind. (except one person 2% ahead, I forget which).
I think the only thing that can drive Republican senators over the top is the turnout rate. Every single person, no matter how bleak it looks has to vote in person in order to win the election by high turnout.
All these comments about how we are going ‘to crush’ the Democrats in the election with a red wave are counterproductive because it removes the ‘urgency’ to vote Republican. It lulls people into staying at home and watching TV instead of voting. At least that is what I think.
Libertarianism is fine as a ideology.
The Libertarian Party is a bad joke.
I hope the writer is correct with his opinions, too bad he doesn’t back it up with much proof.
In a Democrat year, their polling shows Democrats leading by 5-7. In a GOP year, it’s Democrats by two. There is a never a forewarning of a GOP landslide. The media, the consultants, and the pollsters themselves won’t do it. Most pollsters are Democrat activists and work for places like universities. Fox News polls might as well be done by MSNBC.
They told us Carter and Reagan were dead even in 1980. Nobody gave us a hint that Nixon would win 49 states, nor the Gipper twelve years later. Not a hint of a GOP wave in 1994, 2010, or 2014. Their polls are predictable garbage.
And now add the reluctance of shy people to tell a pollster how they are voting because of Biden and the Gestapo. That’s not people like us, although we are likely to not give up info to strangers on the phone.
Schlichter just gives opinions and writes books, but he is pretty right on with how Maters clobbered Kelly. The media forgot that debate real quick, and never hyped it at all.
