14-year-old Bronx gunman busted for attempted murder has 18 prior arrests [Every city has exactly as much crime as it’s willing to tolerate]

He’s 14 with more arrests than years around the sun — and now he’s facing two attempted murder charges

The fresh-faced teen, who now has 18 arrests under his belt, was busted on Oct. 5 for two recent shootings in the Bronx, including one in which the target was shot in the leg

“Eighteen (arrests)… He’s 14-years-old,” Essig lamented Friday.

The teen was not identified because of his age.

Bronx investigators linked the boy to a Sept. 19 shooting in which someone opened fire on a Dunkin’ Donuts on Broadway near W. 230th St. in Marble Hill. The gunman was aiming at a man inside the eatery. He caused property damage, but didn’t injure anyone, cops said.

He was also allegedly connected to a Sept. 25 shooting on Kingbridge Road near Webb Ave. in Kingsbridge Heights where a man was shot in the leg.

Police believe the teen is responsible for another Bronx shooting on Sept. 22, this one less than a block from the first crime, in which another man was hit in the leg. The teen hasn’t been charged in that case.

Cops charged the teen with two counts of attempted murder and weapons possession.

The boy’s first time in a holding cell was in 2018 — when he was about 10 or 11 — for menacing someone with a weapon, police said.

His arrest record includes multiple misdemeanor and felony assaults, gang assault, criminal mischief, menacing, possession of a loaded firearm and criminal possession of stolen property after he was found with a stolen motorcycle, cops said.

Earlier this year, cops arrested him on grand larceny charges, authorities said.

In case anyone was wondering, this is what “social justice” looks like - and it’s what “social justice warriors” are fighting to establish and proliferate.

I can understand having mercy on a young person for small crimes, but things like armed robbery, murder, rape etc... yeah.. sorry all of them should be tried as adults.

The Demonicrat politicians in New York should be tried as co-defendants in the attempted murder case.

I was born in Manhattan and grew up in Queens. One of my black 15 year old “playmates” stabbed a 21 year-old Jewish man to death after asking him the time at a bus stop. He stabbed him when he looked down at his watch. The victim had just gotten out of the Army where he was a platoon leader (1st LT) in Vietnam.

Six years later, when the murderer turned 21 he was released. The killing was in 1966. F-— N.Y. F-— Governor Carey. F-— Mayor Lindsay.

Bob Grant had the best insight on recidivism and chronic criminality. He said that such individuals give society ample and repeated notice about their vile nature. When society, represented by the people they have charged to deal with such criminals (politicians, prosecutors, judges, prison and parole officials), ignore for whatever reason the stark realities, then it is in fact an ignorant, indifferent society that has ultimately allowed the behavior and holds responsibility. If you vote Democrat have the decency to never complain about crime especially if it effects you.

Good point.

Not this case but true of others, a woman grabbed by juvenile offenders and duct tape, tied up and raped and beaten is NOT perfectly okay because it was done by underage offenders. They can rape, stab and shoot just like adults.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Statistic: Source: National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS)

22% of those rape offenses were committed by offenders age 10–19. Throughout the past 10 years, juveniles have been the largest age demographic to have committed rape offenses, as documented by the NIBRS.
/////////////////////////////////////
◆ Among all victims of violent crimes
involving juvenile offenders, 17% faced
multiple juveniles acting together and
15% faced juveniles and adults acting
together. Among victims of robberies
involving juveniles, 61% faced multiple
offenders.
◆ In sexual assaults, robberies, and aggravated assaults committed by juveniles,
40% of victims were injured, compared
with 48% of the victims of the same
offenses committed by adults.

Taxpayer financed ferals. 20 years ago I use to live in Elmhurst Queens NYC across the street from a welfare hotel. All day and night I would hear moans coming from there from all the breeding cows screwing while the babies would be running around in the parking lot in their underwear or diapers, completely unsupervised.

They are literally thug mills where they turn up exactly like this kid with 18 busts and then the taxpayers have to pay again for the lawyers, the jails, the free medical.

Think of the innocent victims who are hardworking law abiding citizens: They are literally paying for their own demise when one of these ferals kills them.

And look at this, it’s still there looking exactly the same.....

I remember one time we had this big rain storm and parts of the motel were flooded so all these TV reporters showed up to exploit it “Look how horribly the city treats the poor! This womans room is flooded!” Yeah meanwhile her kid is out getting arrested 20 times a week

In case anyone was wondering, this is what “social justice” looks like

Actually, this is what the ‘juvenile’ justice system looks like and has looked like for a very long time. In most states, even very serious crimes committed by juveniles rarely result in any kind of long-term confinement. This is for legal, philosophical and budgetary reasons.

In many states children who commit crimes below a certain age cannot legally be charged with anything at all.

After they reach an age where they can be charged, the juvenile-justice philosophy of ‘correcting’ rather than punishing a juvenile kicks in. No matter the crime committed, the juvenile is not considered to be a criminal, rather he or she is someone who needs to be changed. It is hoped (and often actually believed!) that somehow with the right approach (which has yet to be discovered, but we think we might have one) bad kids can be transformed into decent adults.

And then there’s the cost to the state to keep a juvenile offender actually locked up for a long time. Please note that the cost to citizens letting the young criminal be on the streets is not considered.

Quite a while back I worked at a juvenile detention facility. As staff we were under pressure to release the kids as soon as possible. This included murderers. We were told we had to justify why we were keeping him in as opposed to having to justify why we thought it was safe to release him.

“Six years later, when the murderer turned 21 he was released.”

Back then anyone under 16 could only be charged as a juvenile and held until 21 even for murder. And the juvenile facility they were held at was barely punitive, it was more of a trade school in many ways, and probably a preferable environment compared to the young murderer’s home life. So there was no incentive for these delinquents to control themselves, even if they committed murder it would result in no more than a slap on the risk. It took another decade before they got rid of this stupid leftist policy and began charging some juveniles as adults.

This 14-year-old should be sent - not to jail, but to a Military academy back when he was 10. Someone needed to step up for him when he was a preteen. He needs to be sent there now?

And Democrats are sick because they do not recognize that there is any difference between right and wrong.

The murderer’s mother turned him in to the police. His mother saved my younger brother’s life. (Long story.) She was married to his father and lived in a nice house. Not necessarily the world’s worst parents and not living in dire circumstances. He was just a fat, stupid, lazy jerk who hated white people and Jews in particular.

The day he got released he assaulted a white kid in the laundromat, for no friggin’ reason. Governor Carey commutated all death sentences around the same time as the original murder. In 1975, one of my scout leaders, and brother’s godfather was killed in as senseless robbery-murder. I hate people who make excuses for murderers. And it’s nothing new.

RE: Bob Grant....

Thanks to a national network on the radio for a few years I was able to hear the great Bob Grant tell liberals “get off my phone line.”

He said what people were afraid to say.

May he Rest in Peace.
