The USA is very afraid of “racial profiling” but ironically, that’s EXACTLY what China does. It targets the vast pool of Chinese academic and research talent overseas to supply info back to China.
Some is by “legal” means (offering jobs, titles and big research grants to return to China), and some illegal.
It comes from various levels - some is purely commercial, Chinese companies looking for R&D or to steal patents for their own products. Some of it is pure Chinese government spying. In the end, if its a “critical” technology - the Chinese Government will always eventually get access.
It is almost GUARANTEED that if there is a high-level Chinese-born researcher in AI/tech, bio, or military capacity in the USA, that person has been targeted by the CCP.
Let them build it. They cost 100x as much to build. We’ll just send 75x the number of conventional missiles and overwhelm their defenses and save 25%.

are either all Communist Party families, or members of the Army Military Forces.

Hypersonic weapons are so overated. We had them in the 1960’s.
And this might be true of some ethnic Chinese...Taiwanese,residents of Hong Kong,Singapore,etc. They're more likely to be unwilling ones who still have family in Red China.
