The U.S. can’t get cocky about Putin (Bsrf alert)
nbc news ^ | Sept. 16, 2022 | David A. Andelman

Russian President Vladimir Putin might be losing on the battlefield, at least for the moment, but it’s a mistake to count out the master of the Kremlin. Instead, quietly, Putin is succeeding in assembling a coalition of the autocratic. Who is in Putin’s “axis of evil,” as President George W. Bush famously called a similar collection? An unlikely but utterly pernicious group straddling continents and political systems. All are worried to varying degrees about the trajectory the war in Ukraine is setting for their economy and their role in the geopolitical landscape, but they are still fully prepared to profit from it in the meantime.

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban has for some time been Putin’s leading stalking horse within the European Union, refusing to send any military aid to Ukraine, signing a gas deal with Russia and refusing to cut use of natural gas this winter by 15%, like every other E.U. country.

What the hell? . Trying to conflate Hungary, a member of NATO and the EU, with Putin and Iran is preposterously dishonest. We should be wary of "our own" state department/security states's appetite for future endless wars. They are not satisfied with having made Libya 100 times worse than it was. Did Hillary actually white this?

Once the globalists have secured their grip on the Ukraine, they will move on to conquering Hungary. Count on it.

I am not really rooting for Russia, but I would be careful to spike the football here. There is no telling what they will do next.

I do have a severe distrust of the motives of the politicians who are cheering Ukraine on.

It is a sad tragic war, like all of them, and I hope it ends quickly.

Orban is, and has been, a Putin toadie.

Democratically elected leader, who won by wide margins because he promoted Hungarian Christian culture, managed borders, and economic indepedence.

You have confirmed yourself to be a paid, deep-state troll. Which agency do you work for?

Hungary vetoed the EU’s global [ist] minimum tax, Orban is too pro-Christianity for the EU globalists, he is resistant to EU globohomo, and his interview with Tucker Carlson showed why the globalists hate him. Orban and Hungary are hated by Soros, the WEF, etc, but are far preferable to the uber-degenerates in some western European countries.

The EU is also turning the thumb screws on Serbia over their ban of “pride” plus their ilk hates Bolsonaro, Trump, etc.

Neocons: we hate Putin so everyone must love the EU.

Wrong.

No, one can dislike both and push for all of Europe to become more along the lines of Trump’s policies, Bolsonaro, Orban, Serbia, Hungary, tje direction Sweden is now going, etc, and less along the lines of

How dare this writer say this! How dare he try to whitewash a monster tyrant of unspeakable cruelty like Putin. He is worse than Hitler in many ways. The only way the world or Ukraine will ever be safe is for Putin to be put down like a dirty rabid dog. Not only this mad man but all of his slavish followers. Only his death will save the world! All Problems from inflation to gas prices, from Donald Trump to Covid all can be traced back to Russia and Putin! You know its true—Sky News, The Daily Mail, New York Times and CNN all say this—and have for years! The facts are there for all to see. Biden gets this too and will strike soon. Putin IS Satan!

Anti-conservative propaganda. Since when Orban is autocratic? He is pro-Putin because it pays off. Look at the inflation and gas price in Hungary compared to the rest of Europe. And he is against Ukraine because it is a Nazi state oppressing Huns as well.

Russian President Vladimir Putin might be losing on the battlefield, at least for the moment

One would have to be an idiot write, believe or post that.

Look at map and how much territory Russia possesses/liberated.

The Ukrainians have let to launch and a successful offensive anywhere the Russian military has been present. The Ukrainians were slaughtered in Kherson. They suffered heavy losses in Kharkov, even though the Russian military had withdrawn there.

I will say it again to the neocon propagandists here -- the Russians will control everything east of the Dnieper River and the entire Black Sea coastline by the time the war is over. They are presently very close to clearing out Donetsk of the Ukrainian invaders.

Meanwhile, real conservatives care FAR more about one of the most important elections in years coming up in less than two months and sick of non-stop propaganda about a war that has absolutely NOTHING to do with our national security.

Here ding dong is what "losing" equates to in the real world -- Ukraine getting its ass handed to it:

https://sonar21.com/putin-and-his-army-on-the-ropes-again/

So let us consider some actual facts:

Russia and its allies captured the major industrial port city of Mariupol from frontline Ukrainian troops and are still in full control of that city.

Russia and its allies expelled the Ukrainian Army from the Luhansk Republic and are in full control there.

Russia and its allies are continuing to retake cities and villages in the Donetsk Republic and pushing Ukraine to the west.

Russia carried out a tactical retreat from the Kharkiv Oblast and moved those forces to the Donetsk region. Yes, they surrendered territory. They retreated.

During the current offensive, according to Ukrainian sources, Ukrainian troops are suffering at least 5 times the casualties of Russia and its allies.

Russia’s Air Force is intact and has suffered minimal losses while Ukraine’s Air Force has been erased.

Russia is producing its own missiles, rockets and artillery shells and is not dependent on another country to continue its fire missions while Ukraine is totally dependent, now, on western supplies.

In its current offensive in the Kharkiv oblast Ukraine has failed to carry out an operation in depth–its attacks have been confined to the frontlines while Russia’s artillery and missiles continue to rain down on exposed Ukrainian troops.
