Ken Starr dies from complications of surgery
Re: 86 - good memory and good bit courtesy of Rush!
A nice man, a RINO, and a wimp as a special prosecutor. What kind of surgery ?
What’s Hillary’s alibi this time?
a life lived.....maybe not "well lived"......only he knows.
all this stuff and all anyone will remember is some stupid blue stained dress.....
anybody remember the fibbeer files accidentally being taken by white house staff?..the travel agency?..the deaths of Vince Foster and Ron Brown?.
in what world does it not errupt in revolution when two administration guys end up dead under mysterious circumstances?
Mr Starr stood up to the filthy left during the billy Clinton scandals.
My mother was Ken Starrs babysitter back in the 1940s in Vernon Texas.
“Complications”
Starr was an independent prosecutor, IIRC. He wasn't supposed to show bias. His responding to criticism might be read that way. Limbaugh called out the Clinton's shenanigans. Other Republicans and media of the time should have stepped up to push back. But we already know why the media of the time didn't.
Great point. I’m glad you said it!
“Was he in O.R. #8 ?”
Nobody got this did they ?
Can any freeper give ? What movie ?
Hint: O.R. is operating room
Sad in Florida — nobody will play my game. It was the movie Coma.
Wow! That’s pretty cool. 👍
The source didn’t say.
I wonder if the J6 goon squad was harassing him.
“She can’t recall ...”
Oh, my goodness…your post nearly brought a tear to my eye. What an incredible moment meeting President Starr must have been for your son! I can only imagine how much he will treasure that memory throughout his life. He sounds like a pretty incredible young man, himself, by the way (well done, Mom and Dad!)
The fall of my freshman year at Baylor was when Bill Clinton was first elected (the spring brought the Branch Davidian mess, but that’s another story, lol). I really only had memories of Reagan and GHW Bush as presidents in my lifetime, so I was horrified and depressed when Clinton was elected. Plus, I had just turned 18 at the end of that September, so I got to vote for the first time. I was incredulous that the election didn’t turn out the way I wanted (how all the young Hillary fans felt when she lost to President Trump…devastated, lol). I have ended up always associating Ken Starr with Clinton, of course, but also with Baylor, since Clinton was tied to my memories of Baylor. So I was floored when Starr was named university president all those years later. I felt like we were very fortunate to get him. He seemed to love most of his time there; he was so good about attending university events and always seemed to be enjoying himself.
Thanks for telling me about your son’s experience with President Starr; it makes me respect the man all the more.
He actually tried to be an honest man.
Great American. Took on the Clinton crime machine.
Belongs on Mount Rushmore.
Are you perhaps thinking of someone else, perhaps Watergate figure Charles Colson? He founded a ministry called Prison Fellowship, eventually receiving a number of awards and commendations for his work. Incidentally, Ken Starr was a member of Jeffrey Epstein’s defense team during his first trial for pimping / pedophilia.
I remember a picture of Ken Starr praying with a prisoner. It was a private ministry. He was a good man.
