I would stay away from anyone whose home base is New York or Washington, DC. I have a basic distrust of lawyer/judges from there.
Issues of national security are not reviewable by a court. They are left to the discretion of the executive branch. The more DoJ ties things into the interagency risk assessment the less likely the court can intrude. That is why DoJ’s big emphasis on the inability to conduct the risk assessment without DoJ seeing the documents. When they really want to move the investigation before the election. The Judge will have to pull that apart to proceed with enjoining the government from reviewing the documents. I don’t think it impacts the special master review, however.

You have probably heard comparisons between the fall of the Roman Empire and what is going on with our Republic. Citizens serving in the Roman legions returned to a corrupt nation. There is a danger that citizens will forget the principles upon which this nation was founded. When my son returned from Tokyo with an honorable discharge from the Marines, the airline would not let him fly without being vaxxed. Illegal aliens are not required to do that. I don’t think the Roman schools taught that their civilization was evil.
Then the question is, where did the contents of those empty folders go to? I have had Secret clearance, and I sure would not want a Special Master who was NOT cleared for Top Secret or that special top security clearance that has been mentioned.

Maybe he knows Rudi and Bernie Kerik. If Trump really was trying to preserve the cross fire hurricane documents this judge would know the significance. And if he is a really honest Judge, he would be angered if fraud was committed on the FISA, other courts, and investigations. But that is in the old world where fewer Judges had political agendas and they then sought to “uphold the rule of law” and believed in the idea of an honest judicial system that separated us from third world countries. Now everything is push your talking points even by Judges.
We can hope. Experience suggests it is more likely a Deep State attorney or other advisor instead steered him wrong again.
True, I posted something similar citing Barr and Sessions and someone said I had Trump Derangement Syndrome. My point was like you these rats are often in disguise. Not that it was a Trump failing.
