Barr is probably part of the inner circle of the DOJ. That inner circle consists of past and present higher-ups.
Barr is really hitting all the shows hard.
I remember when he was appointed, I had friends who were senior Verizon engineers say that it was a great appointment. They said that Barr was a ‘by-the-book’ attorney and would be a great AG for Trump. Boy were they wrong!

Barr has been on FOX for the last two days several times running down Trump and the Judge that ruled for a master to review the records taken from Trump and saying that the DOJ should appeal the ruling.
Barr may run for political office by 2024 as a Dem.

For all the good he has done and with respect to his talents as a leader, Trump has a dismal record of selecting loyal, trustworthy people to join his inner circle of advisors.
This isn’t about seeking an actual conviction - this is about keeping a steady stream of “Trump is guilty of something” headlines in the fake news cycle leading up to the midterms. The idea is to smear Trump and MAGA with the taint of scandal.
Anti-Trump politicians, talking heads and retired hacks - like Barr, McCabe, Schiff, etc.. leak speculations and rumors.
The fake new then broadcasts these leaks and rumors up as headlines and quotes from “news controbutors”.
Then ChicagoConservative27 takes it from there and makes sure these anti-Trump narratives and headlines get splashed across even supposedly Conservative outlets like FR.
Trump could only choose those that the Senate would confirm.
