Germany isn’t really doing much for Ukraine at all. Lots of talk, very little actual support. They’re actually just trying to appease anti-Russian/pro-Ukrainian sentiment in their population.
Actually if you listen to her speech she tells you exactly what their purpose is.
-follow Trump’s suggestion and wean themselves from “dirty Russian fossil fuels”
-usher in a green energy transition by investing 300b euros in renewable energy solutions
-pivot away from Chinese battery commodities (rare earth minerals)
-invest in Canada to provide the necessary materials for batteries
Ukraine is a ruse, a red herring and this minister is laying it all out in the open, voters be damned
