GIVE THE BAKERY WHAT IS DUE TO THEM! This has dragged out for too long-I heard that not a cent has been paid. They have obviously been trying to outlast them.
The Least they can do is to tithe to the Trump 2024 campaign!
plus several years interest.
This is a scratch on Oberlin’s budget. It is amazing how hard they fought it, it was mean and vindictive.
how can they enforce payment?
As of March 2021, Oberlin’s endowment fund exceeded $1 billion. They can easily afford the settlement.

It’s a shame the co-owners died before the Ohio SC could make this decision...
Oberlin College is really evil incarnate. Don’t send your kids there.
Hhahahah...Pay up liberal-commie useless eaters. Right after the Gibson family gets their 33 million dollar payment, they must close all their stores, give their employees bonuses, and leave Oberlin town for better places.
Oberlin just might go to Federal court on this. So this is not over and done.
Show the Gibson family the money!
(the Court also refused to hear the Gibsons’ appeal seeking to reinstate the full punitive damages award). It was a 4-3 decision, and it means the Gibsons now can collect approximately $36 million.

Sweet! Like cake!
Oberlin is exactly the kind of school which survives off massive student debt made by Fed.gov.
They really haven’t won until Oberlin pays up. I won’t really be surprised if they just don’t pay.
Because so many who lose litigation try to conceal money and otherwise fudge legal decisions, there are legal agent detectives skilled at tracking down hidden accounts, overseas accounts, straw trustees, etc.
And while Oberlin *probably* wouldn’t try such stunts, it would be well worth it to retain some real pitbull agents, because it is highly likely that Oberlin has lots of black accounts used to evade taxes, buy politicians, and otherwise engage in nefarious activities.
When you turn in big tax evaders to the IRS, they give you a chunk of the asset seizure they make.
It’ll be a couple of years before they can cut a check, paperwork don’t ya know
Perfect the judgement and start auctioning off the college buildings :-)
Best news all day.
Four to Three?
That is disgusting. Should have been Six to One. Or Seven to None.
