Most Americans are not worried at all or not too worried about contracting the Chinese coronavirus, even as public health officials warn of a “resurgence” this fall, a poll from The Economist/YouGov found.
The survey asked respondents, “Taking into consideration both your risk of contracting it and the seriousness of the illness, how worried are you personally about experiencing COVID-19?

We’re all sick and tired of Covid. Enough already. Now that it’s mutated to the far milder Omicron strains, nearly everyone is about as worried about it as they are the common cold.
Some people with compromised immune systems (cancer, treatments for certain illnesss, certain illnesses themselves) wear masks out in public, Covid or no Covid. A lady at my church has to do so while undergoing cancer treatment. She says it’s embarrassing because people give her looks, thinking she’s still masking up for Covid. I feel so sorry for her.
I’ve had COVID three times now. If I get it one more time I get a free … I’m having trouble coming up with a good reward. A date with Tony Fauci?

Covid has evolved back into the common cold. Fauci and his Chinese overlords managed to turn it into Franken-cold which was slightly more dangerous to old and fat people than the flu. But unless they engineer something new... this is all over.
Almost everyone has had it by now and they knows it is not worth all the panic and stupidity.

2.5 years and I finally got COVID. I’m not vaxxed and I’m letting this virus run it’s course. My immune system is doing well and hopefully gaining the knowledge to protect me from any further COVID in the future. Like a bad flu but something different about this virus… unnatural.

Not exactly. The outcomes are better now because almost everyone has some level of immunity - either from vaccination or from getting the disease.
The virus is still capable of killing susceptible people.
My entire team at work has had it, some multiple times, but as for now, not me. I’ve never been worried about getting it.
I’m being cautious because I was exposed to a neighbor with COVID. Tested negative once, and will confirme on Monday.
Other than that, I’m not worried about catching it myself too much. Just don’t want more vulnerable people getting it from me, so if I show up positive, I’ll stay home awhile.
Maybe your reward will be Smart COVID. You can then give it to Biden, whose mind will suddenly improve.

This Franken-virus started out as engineered... slightly more serious than a typical flu and after two years it is now back to normal cold status.
There is no cure for the common cold because cold viruses aka coronaviruses... evolve even more quickly than typical flu viruses. If you caught a cold last year... you are no less likely to catch a cold this year. If you had covid last year you are no less likely to get it this year.
If you did a good job of isolating yourself from others and did not catch Covid last year, then you are more likely to catch it this year because your immune system didn’t get much of a workout fighting off viruses and now it is weaker than it was. This is why children in third world countries tend to have stronger immune systems than coddled American children. This is also why Covid did not even make a blip in most African countries. Squaller, filth and nasty insects build stronger immune systems... as long as you don’t catch something really serious like typhoid, malaria, yellow fever, or some disease that is actually dangerous compared to Covid.
The worst-case scenario is if you got vaccinated and heaven forbid... boosted. In that case your immune system is completely screwed up and who knows what you might come down with. That is not to mention all the nasty injuries largely related to clotting problems directly attributable to the vaccines... such as heart attacks, strokes, and organ failure.
So sorry... everything you think you know is mostly wrong.
