An S-300 is a later model, highly effective, Surface-to-air missile, and it's good to know that the Russians are smart and clever enough to repurpose an S-300 and it's Targeting Systems to destroy a particular Apartment in an apartment house!

Occam’a razor says the foreign fighters were the likely actual target of the attack. The couple next door were “collateral damage”.
