An agreement between the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers union and the school district states that White teachers will be laid off before teachers of color, regardless of their seniority.
The agreement, which was reached to end a two-week teacher strike last spring, says that starting this school year, "if excessing a teacher who is a member of a population underrepresented among licensed teachers in the site, the district shall excess the next least senior teacher, who is not a member of an underrepresented population."

This is what “systemic racism” looks like. The racism is built right into the system. It’s on paper. Back and white, so to speak.
I challenge anyone to find any equivalent “systemic racism” that blatantly favors whites over blacks. You can’t do that because everyone knows that it’s illegal.

Talk about a contract that violates Civil Rights. Its not enforceable because it violates constitutional rights of a racial class of citizens.

What’ll happen here...even before this was coming up, there was an exit-door where parents didn’t want the woke-stuff, the pronouns or felt the quality was drifting south. So the number of teachers for the upcoming school year, will be lessen.
Once you as a parent in the Minneapolis school system with kids...who was still undecided...hear this news, you will either go to a private school deal....home-school, and try to move beyond the city/county area.
Long-term? Minneapolis will become a Baltimore within a decade...with the bulk of residents being either new immigrants, Latinos, or blacks. They will complain about the quality of teachers and schools....plowing tens of millions into bonus salary....to keep the crappy teachers around.
I would guess that the population for the state by 2030...will be ten-percent less than it is today, and a state with a high degree of poverty status and drug-use.
Sue before getting laid if as this creates a hostile and stressful workplace.

I had many a good teacher in my day and I know there are plenty of great teachers out there but you know what. I simply don’t care. Like countless other institutions of America, the teachers corps is corrupted and needs to collapse completely. Let them reap what they “taught”
In Stalinist Russia, being a teacher/professor was a VERY dangerous job. If you mentioned anything that could be construed as anti-revolutionary, then off to Siberia you went.
The first ones to be purged when Stalin secured power was the intellectual class professors and intelligista—those that convinced the masses about the wonders of communism were the first to be eliminated!
I remember reading a book where the author had been interrogated by the NKVD and he feigned that he was an ignorant peasant farm boy. They let him go. He said any signs of authentic intellect or logical thinking was a free ticket to Siberia.

I’m gonna guess that white teachers are a minority there, which is HOW the black teachers were able to get the anti white provisions in the contract.
